You know what grinds my gears! People who auction stuff on ebay and the starting price is higher than you'd ever pay for it! What's the point of an auction then!

Oh, how I feel for you... I get that every single day, people thinking they can get retired out of selling half a dozen models as if they were the last bottle of water on the planet!

What baffles me is the seemingly random cars that are offered. I've seen things like ERTL's and Yatmings's being put on sale for over $1000! And when you google the value, you see at least 5 more being offered for 75-100...

Ferrari have lost the trademark for the 250 GTO. Time to get building those 280Z based kit cars gents!!! :)

Sadly they've kept it for models. I wouldn't want a kit car lookalike, unless it was something like an Eagle E Type, and then I couldn't afford it. I'd be happy with a few more companies making them in 1/18 though!

i asked the seller for an update but no response yet maybe he is still being confined at home? in any case i do find Aliexpress really peddles cheap knockoffs (the mario themed plush im not surprised are the copycat version down to the tag) their legit stuff like diecast and so on cost a fortune. 60USD for a Maisto. and 200 bucks or more for a more decent model like Norev Paragon and so on...

Sorry just saw your response Scud. Soft character toys... my kid is into Super Mario stuff at the moment. It looks like the seller keeps extending the delivery timeline (or is it automatic) i sent the seller a message on the weekend and see if they are going to fulfill the order if not might just have to cancel it

Wasn't it the CCR that used a Ford Cobra engine? I thought that the CCX engine was Koenigsegg's own development (or that's what it says on their website).

Very first CC8 used a Ford block only, everything onwards from there was Koenigsegg parts

I find it strange how other ebay sites never get such "affects all products" sales to allow us to purchase diecast at a discount...

This is the first time 'toys & games' have been included in a long time. Previously it has just been for specific products, such as gardening or technology.

That's it, and usually only on selected sellers as well within those categories. Hopefully it will happen more often for us.

What on earth is McLaren smoking? First the Senna, now the Speedtail! I can barely look at the thing!

I don't like the Senna, but I love the Speedtail. It's out there, I get why so many people hate it, but I love it. I wonder how it looks in person.

Unlike the Senna, I actually like this streamlined design. The rear reminds me a bit of the Koenigsegg Regera.

I dig the streamliner design, but I wish the greenhouse flowed better with the overall shape.

I'd be patient, as the prices for the models are inflated greatly. But if patience is a foreign concept like many of us on here, F1 all the way. It's my favorite model, and the details will never disappoint or bore. The Agera is nice too, but I personally prefer the CCX

Other than bagging a bargain it seems unlikely the prices of the F1 will drop? Maybe the Agera will when the One:1 comes? Aventadors seem to be going mad at the moment!

Yea the Bugs aren't timeless in shape. But like you said "that engine"..

Uzair HP/L really is just marketing. For instance put an S2000 up against the Bug in a HP/L war and the Bug loses by a landslide. But at the same time put the S2000 up against the Bug in a street/track race and the S2000 loses by continents lol. That HP/L thing looks great on paper and engineering speak but can be worthless in reality. Also that Bugs engine can live at those hp levels for its l...

Hmmmm I never actually considered HP/L based on advertising and marketing, but rather my own personal preference for what I consider "cool technology". To me there is nothing cooler than simplicity combined with high performance, which is epitomized by high-revving naturally aspirated engines. OF COURSE HP/L is not the final indication of performance, engine displacement and weight also matter. To me the Veyron's most impressive engineering feat is its cooling systems for that mas...

That is possible. Could be a number of reasons. Could be a big event / holiday. The passing Sunday was Mother's Day in the US.

Also, you may have discovered the time of the year where a majority of Ebay bidders are flat broke :)

Spent last night watching the 6 series Amazon Special called 'Le Mans.' Enjoyed every minute of it. What a compelling look into the 2015 race. Like a good book, I just couldn't put it down!

The plan is to watch Ferrari: The Race to Immortality the night before so I will understand the cars more on the day. They also give you an option of a Multimedia Guide which I have gone for! Not sure what it is though!
