Okay, i took some pics of these models way back in the day, but they don't look that good, now looking back. With it being a holiday weekend here in Europe, I took my T5Rs to their familiar corporate country cousin for a photo shoot!
Man, it was WINDY , but part of one of my newer dioramas is a parking lot, so I wanted to test how it looked in shots. 馃槉

A beautiful pair of Swedish monster 馃榿 At first i thought u were just using Ikea as a random backdrop then it struck me it all makes sense haha.
Come to think of it i should have bought both saloon and wagon at the same time when they were heavily discounted. The boxy wagon is looking quite appealingto me now hehe

Thanks Simon! That said, I really was using my new parking lot diorama and almost shot some newer German models, but what better at IKEA, than "Flying Bricks or Swedish Delights"?;)

Amazing photos, and a great location!!
I was just about the say the same thing, very fitting location (there's a pun there somewhere...) and also the yellow on the IKEA building is almost a perfect match for the models! Great job there, David!(y)

Probably need a Mk3 Golf boy racer for that backdrop... preferably with a couple of ASBO-looking figures walking towards the model, carrying a 6-pack on each hand. Or at least that's the image I see every time at my local Aldi

Wow! Truly amazing shot there! The AA 850 wagon is the perfect subject for this diorama!
So the whole IKEA background is 1:18 scaled? That's quite a workmanship there! All your hard work is paid off.

So what makes you pick IKEA as the diorama subject? Just curious if there is a story behind it.

The last pic looks like the sedan is doing donuts in the empty IKEA parking lot!

I can't wait to see more shots using this diorama, with some background cars on the background (vs empty lot).

NICELY DONE!! (y)(y)

LOL!! Too Bad the REAL close to us turned into "Kauftland"...not as pretty corporate graphics IMO! ;) Aldi's parking lot is too small...lol Need to find a bog box store there...but, I have something else planned!馃槉

Ohh, no, no noooo! That would be too massive, that is a real IKEA, one that I thought would look good for my road diorama. I am still working on the other diorama piece that I showed you last week.馃槉 Thanks, Just the parking lot and cars are mine here.. Glad that it all blended seamlessly :)

I was going to shoot some other cars at IKEA, and thought, I was going to re-shoot my 850 T5Rs, so why not just shoot them there at IKEA? Makes more sense color and content wise.

If I wasn't busy with my diorama, It was originally going to be smokey burnouts (like my Challenger pics)

You will see this parking lot, but I am done with IKEA for now. I don't want to over use that location ;)

Thanks Stefanus! Cheers!馃

Hey Patrick! I used salt packs/cool storage to make sure that it was okay..so far mine are okay.:)

No, I ALMOST went to IKEA in Hasselt, but I don't like that location enough as well as the Design of that one.馃

Thanks Dirk! :)

I'm glad that they came out better than I expected..it was WINDY!馃槼 I had to use our car to block the wind just to shoot and it was a rather quick shot as well. These are about half of the images that I used.

Thanks Again Dirk! CHEERS!馃嵕馃

Thanks G!馃槉 I really appreciate that it came out so well. I was rushing due to the high winds馃槼That said, I thought that the yellow/Blue and both Swedish theme would work out well together! Glad that you also liked it :) Cheers! 馃嵕馃
