Wagon FTW
Literally in the 90s for the real win(s) BTCCC!!!! 😊Wagon FTW![]()
Thanks Simon! That said, I really was using my new parking lot diorama and almost shot some newer German models, but what better at IKEA, than "Flying Bricks or Swedish Delights"?A beautiful pair of Swedish monster 😁 At first i thought u were just using Ikea as a random backdrop then it struck me it all makes sense haha.
Come to think of it i should have bought both saloon and wagon at the same time when they were heavily discounted. The boxy wagon is looking quite appealingto me now hehe
For Germans.. what about Aldi? 😆Thanks Simon! That said, I really was using my new parking lot diorama and almost shot some newer German models, but what better at IKEA, than "Flying Bricks or Swedish Delights"?![]()
I was just about the say the same thing, very fitting location (there's a pun there somewhere...) and also the yellow on the IKEA building is almost a perfect match for the models! Great job there, David!Amazing photos, and a great location!!
Probably need a Mk3 Golf boy racer for that backdrop... preferably with a couple of ASBO-looking figures walking towards the model, carrying a 6-pack on each hand. Or at least that's the image I see every time at my local AldiFor Germans.. what about Aldi? 😆
LOL!! Too Bad the REAL close to us turned into "Kauftland"...not as pretty corporate graphics IMO!For Germans.. what about Aldi? 😆
Thanks Sam!😊 Last minute change of cars...was almost newer BMWS! This just made way more sense🍻Amazing photos, and a great location!!
EXACTLY EVERYTHING that you said Clement!💯❗❗❗ The colors, the corporate country relation, all intentional!😊I was just about the say the same thing, very fitting location (there's a pun there somewhere...) and also the yellow on the IKEA building is almost a perfect match for the models! Great job there, David!

Ohh, no, no noooo! That would be too massive, that is a real IKEA, one that I thought would look good for my road diorama. I am still working on the other diorama piece that I showed you last week.😊 Thanks, Just the parking lot and cars are mine here.. Glad that it all blended seamlesslyWow! Truly amazing shot there! The AA 850 wagon is the perfect subject for this diorama!
So the whole IKEA background is 1:18 scaled? That's quite a workmanship there! All your hard work is paid off.
So what makes you pick IKEA as the diorama subject? Just curious if there is a story behind it.
The last pic looks like the sedan is doing donuts in the empty IKEA parking lot!
I can't wait to see more shots using this diorama, with some background cars on the background (vs empty lot).
NICELY DONE!!![]()
Hey Patrick! I used salt packs/cool storage to make sure that it was okay..so far mine are okay.Haven't removed my yellow Wagon from its styrofoam for ages...need to check if she's still in good condition
OT: Nice pics and great setting! Is that the IKEA in Hasselt?
Thanks Dirk!Nice models for sure.
But WOW: David these picture are just amazing and sooo cool! Looking incredibly real!! 👏
That's POTM material for sure - especially love the first two!!!![]()
Thanks G!😊 I really appreciate that it came out so well. I was rushing due to the high winds😳That said, I thought that the yellow/Blue and both Swedish theme would work out well together! Glad that you also liked itThat’s a great idea and it has worked a treat! Even the IKEA colour scheme works with the Volvos. Top skills, David!![]()
