I also have this model, and happily it is not suffering the usual UT wheel melt down.
I have one of the rally versions, and the same (painted) wheels are literally turning to mush.
I can only think that the white paint they used was too 'hot' for plastic.

It's really disaster,when wheels start "melting".I had Maisto 1:18 Ferrari F50 and wheels was melted

I still really like this model. I had it years ago along with every other UT Escort RS Cosworth but sold it on & only kept a few of them, mostly just the rally cars.
The Green IXO 'ready to race' car that has just been released is basically this model but with a rally interior & different OZ wheels. I might get one.

I am unbelievably jealous at your Biante RS500 collection.
How long has it taken you to get them?
Did you have to import them?

I've been collecting these cosworths since the 90's first the escorts then the sierras I used to display them then sold them all to Rebuy them as never been out the boxes which all of these models haven't they still have all the transport straps on them and are in mint condition, yeah I imported all the biante models from Australia and I have 2 bond/Jones cars and 2 brock/rouse cars as when i first purchased them they came through the post damaged as they had come off the plinth and were basically loose in the box but bought 2 others that were in mint condition for the collection

There are also 2 versions of the WRC street Escort. Only difference being the mudflaps and their position on the car.
