So hello everyone,

I know that I'm not the first posting this (because I'm quite busy at the moment) but still I wanted to open this topic as I do most of the times about new and interesting HWE reveals. This time the long-awaited 458 Speciale. Enjoy!

Looks pretty nice to me! I can't tell if the mesh in the front and rear is open, although the model looks great and it's not a deal breaker for me either way. I just got the brochure from Continental Ferrari last weekend, now all I need is the die-cast model to go with it! I wonder if there will be other colors, but I'll probably get this one anyway!

The reflection of the light on the window is funny :D
That's the A/C unit on their ceiling lol. At first was thinking what the hell is that
HWE photogs don't really pay attention to the reflections when they present their models.

However, one disappointment is that the side air intake (spoiler) at the front is not perforated. Even a black line emphasizing the intake would be much better.

I don't think that's possible to make. The resin models don't have this gap as well. Only possibility would be to make it a separate part but then it would be a lot of work to blend it in with the body, making the model much more expensive. I think I'll just put some paint on it. What I did notice on this model were flaws in the rear mesh. There are small holes visible where the mesh is missing. I hope this is a preproduction model and they sort it out.

The flaw I spotted are the tyres. Belive its rendered or a prototype tyres.Noticed how "smooth" they are? lol

Thanks for the preview T-Tec
Overall it's quite the looker, and apart from the issue raised with the front spoiler, it seems to be on a par with what we expect from the Elite series these days....

The windows are thinner seems like.
Just one gripe I have with all HWEs side windows.... I would've thought that BY NOW they would have tooling to roller them lightly so that they conform better to the window surrounds...

You are right, I just checked some images of the resin Speciale. Can't believe you won't even get this gap for a 300 euro resin model!!

However, one disappointment is that the side air intake (spoiler) at the front is not perforated. Even a black line emphasizing the intake would be much better.
