Only win by American, Richie Ginther. Although he drove for several different manufacturers (Ferrari, BRM, Honda) in the 60's; this was the car that won Honda's first F1 race. I built it straight from the box (no custom mods or after market parts). Richie was also one of the technical editors for the classic film F1.
Love the model and the triple-decker photo of Ginther giving Innes Ireland (checked helmet) and Jo Bonnier a ride back to the pits - LOL! By the number on Ginther's car, this is the 1965 French Grand Prix in Clermont-Ferrand - must be in practice since Ginther's Honda went out before the other two with ignition troubles.
Very detailed, considering it's just the base kit. Well put together too
