Hey everybody! This past week my Norev Mercedes-Benz S-Class arrived from Germany. Unfortunately, it was a disappointment. When the item arrived, I immediately opened it just to find that the front right mirror was broken. I managed to successfully attach it back by using Krazy Glue.

After the mirror was attached, I was finally happy with it...but then I decided to further examine it. Here's what I found wrong with the car:
1. Mercedes hood ornament was not stable/sturdy and proceeded to fall out multiple times (Fixed it by using glue, once again, on the long stick part connecting it to the hood)
2. Paint chipping

3. The trunk is not flush with the body of the car

4. Black accents around windows are not painted/applied well

5. Chrome trim around the doors is not well applied (hard to see in this photo as it just looks like chrome, but in reality it looks like it is peeling.)

Overall, I think Norev has some serious issues with its quality control. It's very upsetting that I paid $155.00 for the car and it arrives like this. If any of you would like to know, I purchased the car from an ebay seller by the name of "modelcarcorner," located in Germany (I wanted the white S-Class rather than the silver or blue and this was the least expensive one I could find). I contacted them a few days ago, asking for a partial refund (I was going to do an exchange, but shipping from Southern California to Germany is outrageous), but still no word. For those of you looking into purchasing this car, whether white, silver, or blue, be careful! I would hate for someone else to get one like mine!

It is unfortunate that you got a lemon. I know mine is damn near perfect and I have seen several others here that do not have your issues. I hope you can get a replacement and I am confident it will be in MUCH better condition. And I hope this does not sour your taste for Norev. They are a great company that makes many damn good models for a great price. Also, they are not AUTOart or some of these other high end companies. Most of their stuff is around the $50-75 range. They make a few high-end models and for me and others, they have been one of the best in QC. Again, sorry yours has a bunch of small issues, but this is not reflective of the brand. Good luck with a replacement.

I fell your disappointment
when you pay big money for a model you really want it to be top notch. But these things just happen. I only have two Norev cars. Their E class coupe in greenish color and it's pretty much perfect. But I can't say the same for a white S600 W140 I've got. 1-2 small paint chipping, wood in the interior is just a sticker everywhere and it's already peeling off. Engine looks like a cheap Maisto. And yeah, some thing with the chrome as yours, and not only 1 spot, but like 2 or 3. These models aren't 150$ but still, that S600 was 95$ and it could have been done a lot better with little effort. And when I say these things just happen, I've just bought Autoart's 190E 2.5-16 EVO 2 and I was unfortunate to have it arrived with a grille that has fallen off from the hood during transport and smaller rear spoiler was also detached. I put it back in place tho, but a little chrome (maybe just 1mm, but still) from the grill is gone and the roof antena doesn't sit 100% perfect. It's a 170$ model and it cost me around 190$ with shipping so yeah, I'd really like it to be 100% perfect

Now come to think of it, my silver W222 has a noticeable paint chip on the passenger side A pillar too. And the W205 has a small chip on the chrome grill.
Minor imperfections seem to be a regular occurrences for Norev's models.
I can't think of many imperfections on any of my Norevs. I am sure to have more issues with AUTOart. I mean, these companies are dishing out thousands of models and they are shipped over seas and are in the hands of many shipping people. They experience many different temperatures and humidities. A small chip barely noticeable in what is fake chrome plating of a plastic piece is not all that bad.

I am generally quite happy with Norev apart from minor chips as long as they are inconspicuous. The chip on the fake chrome on a Merc's front grill can be a little distracting at times but no manufacturer is immune from this. I think I have one or two Autoart mercs have similar issue too. The more concerning issues with the diecast models would be misaligned panels or poorly primed surface that causes paint blister.

I don't have any issue with small scratches and chips. It's just i want the dam Mercedes-Benz logo to be perfect and not missing.I'm gonna sent it back to the dealership tomorrow and get a refund instead of waiting another 10 days+.

Already waited over 5 weeks for this one to arrive and only finding out the stupid flimsy logo came off and it's really hard to glue it back on since it's so thin and i don't have the tools that the factory has.

One thing norev needs to improve on is the Logo.I love the logo's Minichamps and Autoart uses.

For example the second hood emblem on the Minichamps GL and ML,E-class is excellent compare to the sticker logo norev uses.Autoart's C-class range has a similar 3d hood emblem like the minichamp ML/GL model
