Maybe CMC renegotiating the Ferrari license will get more freedom to replicate better the models, just a thought. I will love a 330P4, 250LM, a 412 P and dreaming a 288GTO or a F40 (but I know those last 2 are not probably to happen)
We can argue that the ''street version'' CMC 250 GTO reflects the accurate shape of 3809GT during the period between 1965 and 2016 (?).So we can argue the street version CMC 250 GTO is based on 3809GT, so its shape can be considered as accurate. But how about the CMC race versions? In particular #19 would have a wrong shape because the 1:18 model is also based on 3809GT, right?
GMP version not good enough?I will love a 330P4

Thanks to the ongoing pandemic, working from home, having little to do... turned this into a serious hobby. Figured I'd find a place where I can spam pics of my models... no one other than Mops gives a damn on the AZ forums.Fancy seeing you trolling the diecast forums Canadian robout.

These pics make me want one... as they look somewhat worth the CMC money that they are trading at today.Yes, the rivets on the CMC 312P and the Lancia D50 look so wrong, it's a shame... Accurate scale rivets don't seem to be hard to accomplish:
The interior could be improved, sure, but I bet CMC wouldn't bother with details like the dangling keychain above the shifter, that makes the GMP quite special:

The CEO of CMC is a Chinese woman. Her late husband is German, and the Talbot Lago was his favorite car, so I understand why CMC made the Talbot.I won't be buying either but CMC are German and I'm sure that influences things somewhat.
I don't think whether a car has been made or not makes much difference, more that it will sell well, which like you said, isn't what the two above do!
I don't think CMC are short of suggestions. Like you, I do question some of their decisions though.
I don't think the Lancia D50 has sold well at all! I still see loads of those gaudy gold Jags for sale too, and they only made 300! Come on CMC!
Yeah, I'd love for a 917 from them. Some fellow out there has a street version in silver. I'd be all over that. You're right about those cars! I would have chosen the 917K lemans sieger, gulf livery etc, Porsche 910 or 906, Porsche 911R (901), Carreras 3.0 RSR lemans, 356 lemans versions, from BMW the 3.0 CSL street car or the 507.
I've seen those maserati are not selling well… I don't understand why not making instead the A6G 54GT zagato coupe
