Fortunately, this is a prototype. There is still work to be done in terms of finesse. Especially around the windows and trunk hinges.
What a frumpy googly eyed looking thing

Agree, unfortunately the 1:1 is like that as well

The CMR one is way more elegant (i.e. smaller headlights), but not sure how accurate it is to the 1:1, and is it a 275 GTB/C or a different 275 GTB?

Looks cross-eyed to me. CMC always feels chunky to me and this one more so.
I would love to add a version with these wheels. I like them more than the wire wheels. But, it needs to look right. Too much money to compromise.
The CMC one is more accurate as far as the front end is concerned, and yes this car can look a bit cross-eyed - "they all look like that, sir". I'm not sure that those wheels look quite right, the scale of the slots and the outside diameter of the tyres aren't in scale. Door handles are way too big. And the trim around the front and rear windscreen is way too thick. But if it's a prototype there's still time to get these things right. At the price it needs to have more finesse. This will be an AU$800 model easily, whereas when I picked up my CMC 250 SWB it was around AU$260 at retail.

589 € !!!
589 € !!!
It's expensive, but less than the current price of 250GTO, California and the SWB GT :)
Sure, but regardless of the speculation, the Mercedes SSK Trossi was sold at 489 € at its release, only six months ago. 100 € increase in such a short time, does not shock anyone?

Most retailers in Europe are still listing it at 497€. CMC Modelcarshop is just trying to catch some fools...
Is CMC Modelcarshop actually CMC themselves ? (their webstore ?) or just a reseller ?

reseller based near Stuttgart, Craig.
Cool, thanks. I always wondered! Their prices are always higher than most other places! (n)
According to CMC models enthousiasts Facebook, they might consider re-editing the Porsche 901!

I think that would be great!

I remember years ago the 901 was not that much desired, stayed around or even below the 190 euro mrsp, and now it's around 500 euro!

If CMC is gonna re-release it with possibly some improvement a la the Blue Wonder, or even without improvement, a mrsp around 350 euro would be nice!
They should re-edit as a 911 first generation. Keep in mind that only 82 ex. of the 901 were actually built before the name change.

This way they would keep the exclusivity of the 901 models already produced and bring something new to the market (new name and new colors).

Interesting! Are there big changes between the 901 and the first 911?

No it's the exact same car.
I had the model for some years - quality/details are great (as always with CMC) but the shape is not spot on which is a big issue to me.
IMO AUTOart did a much nicer 901/911 1964.
So frankly, I am not excited about this announcement.

But I would really like to see CMC doing a G-model Porsche...
