Sorry to hear. Where did you get it? Thanks
That's a very effective change, it looks much better with the border.

Edit: hmm the post I was replying to has disappeared!
I got it from CK.
Sorry to hear but somehow I am not surprised at all. I feel better I did not pull the trigger with CK and will order to a local MB dealer.

Man, I am returning a model to them at the moment as well. WHY do they keep providing crappy service?

Both versions are now sold out at CK. There goes my SL500 then. I ordered it with coupons and discount.
Did anyone get the Norev Mercedes R107 yet?
I'm interested in opinions (and apologise if a review has already been posted!) on fit and finish.
If I bought one, I would want to be certain that the hard top fits properly.
Norev are offering some Police and emergency cars in 1/18th scale in their web only exclusive range.
Orders over €100 are postage free with Europe.

well, at least they accept returns for free, no questions asked.
modelissimo, carmodel, mcw etc. are a lot pickier with their policies and you literally have to go pretty please in a personal email to get a return label.
and you get a replacement sent too without extra shipping (if they have one by the time they receive your return, again a service the others usually dont offer).

Personally tho, I am waiting for norev to release more colors.

At the moment the KK scale still looks lucrative considering it comes in dark blue or in black, and in any case with a removable top, for 70 EUR
KK sealed versus Norev fully opening, sorry but that's a no-brainer for me.
I managed to get in both colours when they were back in stock from CK and I'm keeping the Bornit metallic version. Yes, CK has the best return policy of all, no doubt about that. All good in the end.
Breaking news!
Just saw the announcement of the Norev 1:18 fully opening SL 500 year 1999 on Facebook!

You mean the R129 version that they already released? or are they making another version?

R129 year 1999, so the facelifted final edition Autoart planned to make, but never did. That's different from the year 1989 SL that is recently released.
Speaking of Norev, do they have a specific date in any month to post the new releases?
It's not the first day or week as far as I can tell.....

This is the R129 I was talking about.
I prefer this one over the year 1989 version.

These are also nicely fully opening models.

That 1886 Daimler is about as open a model in 1/18th scale as it's possible to get for Norev prices!
The 1999 SL500 looks pretty good to me. I like the colors.
If they get on to doing an SL60 AMG, I'm in for sure!
I don't know why Norev never do the AMG version models (except the AMG GT...). Hard to get the license from Mercedes?
