I think 'new colour' was lost in translation!
If I can get the Otto, I would be delighted. The Norev will be more expensive where I am. Having had the first release in blue/grey which is having plenty of issues, I am a bit disappointed with the model as a whole. The Otto 560 SEC is such a treat on the other hand and I cannot wait to get the sedan. 🤞🤞Some China sellers already have pics of the W126 re-release in black with tan interior. Now I have to decide if I'd rather have this or the limited re-release of the Otto OT297. Full opening or cooler looks.![]()
The black W126 LWB looks great! The W126 looks fantastic and I would happily get them in different colours if display space isn't much of an issue. Would have them in Oil Sheik's gold, two tone brown, white and black. Some China sellers already have pics of the W126 re-release in black with tan interior. Maybe both? As one is normal and one is the AMG.Some China sellers already have pics of the W126 re-release in black with tan interior. Now I have to decide if I'd rather have this or the limited re-release of the Otto OT297. Full opening or cooler looks.![]()
I don't usually get duplicates, but tempted to this time. I think I'll for sure get the Otto, as I do like the AMG look a lot better. Then I'll consider getting the Norev too. It's too bad Norev doesn't make an AMG.Maybe both? As one is normal and one is the AMG.
I wonder if that could be climate related. Several older models I've gotten from Asia have had various degrees of rash, one of them being the Norev W140.If I can get the Otto, I would be delighted. The W126 as well as W140 were bought from Modelissimo the day they were put up on sale. Both models came with rash as standard. I would think it was a one off condition but since both cars were a part of a group buy with a friend and both of his models also came with bad paint meant that there was something wrong with the metallurgy or application. I have since then replaced the W140 with one in green and a later release black with tan interiors. The W126 though has found no suitable replacement. Also do you not find the car lifted on its suspensions. It should have been sitting a lot more squat.I wonder if that could be climate related. Which one is too lifted? I'm sure I would find either one too lifted as I prefer a lowered car.The W126 as well as W140 were bought from Modelissimo the day they were put up on sale. If in doubt, get both i'd say 😆Maybe both? As one is normal and one is the AMG.
I might need to get both! Now that I have the regular W116 by Norev, I also feel like I need the Ivy AMG version. If in doubt, get both i'd say 😆
Personally I try to exclude the old pre 90s AMG mercs and just stick to the normal road going one. I must say those 80s AMG mercs used by drug dealers that are so prominently featured throughout Miami Vice series looks mighty tempting.
Hehe there were some pretty tacky mods done on the Mercs/Porsches etc (those typical yuppie cars) in the 80sI might need to get both! Now that I have the regular W116 by Norev, I also feel like I need the Ivy AMG version.
Funny you mention Miami Vice, Youtube's been recommending me videos from Patina Collective and I finally decided to watch one. The Mercedes they collect look like they could have come straight out of that show. I can't say I'm a fan of those Testarossa-style body kits, but the cars are definitely... interesting.
Ah, that site does a good job of explaining some of the oddities I was seeing in the Patina Collective videos. Couldn't figure out what was going on with the front end of their weird white on white (and gold) "1000SEL" and now I know that's "The 600-style Nose". It wasn't much appreciated by the purists and press of the time, and I can't say I appreciate it much either.Hehe there were some pretty tacky mods done on the Mercs/Porsches etc (those typical yuppie cars) in the 80s
you can check out some of them here... 1000 SEL home 😆
I couldnt help it when i see some of those creations... 😆 😆Ah, the LBW and Mansory of that era.![]()
They're acting as agents/distributors, for a piece of the action. If the subjects don't clash with their own, that should make some good extra $$$ for Norev. I've seen other model car makers do that, too.Hello all mates, maybe it has been already discussed but can't find anything... Can someone explain why some Autoart and Kyosho models are present in the Norev website? Also some models which are supposed to be sold out since long time ago...
Thank you
