Can you take some pictures ??? maybe someone managed to save the pictures, I'm curious ;-) ...
Hey Stig!

If you mean pics of Norev's W123, I don't think there are any yet - just the links that Slart and I posted:

Sadly, these don't tell us too much, so watch this space for more info... and hopefully pics :)

There's a pre-facelift 7er, but it's by Megamodel http://www.megamodelpro.com/product/products-3-87.html

Not a fan of the styling of the X5, but the model does look good. Apart from the sealed trunk

The M5 has the same issue, I see
And the kidneys and grilles seem worse than on the X5

That annoys me too - but to be fair to them, opening diecast for £80 (plus shipping) isn't a crazy price.
True. I can get them for 79 euros which isn't bad at all, especially considering these are dealer editions.

Sadly in my country the dealer sells them for retail - 120 euros.. Yikes. And most EU dealers simply say "we can't ship to you, check your local dealer"

Why make a great value model and ruin it with a sealed trunk? On the 8 Series too..

Are opening models such a rare commodity these days that I should be happy anything opens at all? I'll pass on these half-assed efforts. Shame because I love the new BMW lineup and had been very much looking forward to these. And why is this an issue specifically with BMW models?
The Norev M5's trunk opens, as does the Kyosho regular G30's trunk... So I guess it's just cost-cutting as they feel it's not a feature collectors would pay attention to and they would care more for seeing the engine and the interior. BUT, 100% of the people who check out my models, always, always, always try to open everything and there's always a disappointed "aw" if they hear from me that something does not open.

Thank you very much for the info, crz

On another note: Does anyone have any info on potential other colors for the 8-Series? I tried to find something, but it seems that only the Barcelona Blue is going to be available for the time being. Seeing that Norev doesn't really release BMWs in multiple colors, it seems that I shouldn't hold my hopes up.

Great!

I don't know. The M3 with competition pack came in 3 colors and the most recent 5 series came in 2 colors.

I think M5 is also in one color, and I think Hobby X6 M was also in one color. So, yeah, might be only one. . . I'm not planning to hurry for any new BMW's. Sooner or latter they will all go on some serious discounts and I will try to get them then.
Yeah, it seems Norev tends to do as little colors as possible, unless they release both a hobby and a dealer edition... Well, that's what spray paint cans are for

Amazing new X5 and 3er series ...

Any rumors for the Touring version?
