I've had this model for a while and I've been wanting to post it. I find it to be especially photogenic among those in my collection. It has one of my favorite profiles. It's extremely sleek. The rims add to the effect and the calipers are not only visible, but legible through the spokes - a regular feature I love of later Autoarts. It has all the signature marks I look for from them: smooth body, stellar paint, and impossibly tight shut lines. It's got a nice engine bay, not necessarily one of my favorites, but accurate. Same with the interior. A couple of downsides: the 'chrome' trim around the taillights and under the grille is painted on, which is disappointing. And there's a weird pull/lift maneuver needed to open the trunk (not sure why they did that), but that's a minor one. Plus, it's a composite. But if that doesn't bother you, I definitely recommend it. I bought the AA LFA too, and I like this one a lot better.

Nice review and photos, it looks like a very good model. I know some will complain about the material but it's hard to find fault with the shape, the shutlines, and the paint. And sitting on a shelf or in a display case those are what really matter. I'm trying to find it in yellow at the moment, really hard to find in the UK/Europe now.

One smaller miss is that it doesn't have the floor mats with Lexus LC embroidered in them, just AA's generic carpet material. Other than that they've done a great job with the interior details.

The boot mechanism looks great when it's open too so maybe it's worth having that strange action to open it! Much better than dog legs. Am I right in thinking that this also has the pop-up spoiler from the top spec version of the 1:1?

I have this one in silver with a rose interior and also like it very much. I chose not to buy the LFA because it's very similar to this LC500 and because it's AUTOart it costs too much!
That rose/silver sounds really nice! ...And I get the point about pricing. I've resigned myself to that being about the floor for AA. I'm just grateful I can afford them.

No, no pop up spoiler. The LFA has it, though. And you're right, the trunk mechanism is perfect mechanically and looks good. The 'action' isn't too hard so it's easy to overlook.

I purchased the red one. It is a great model, the detail is much better than average. Granted the composite material always made me wonder if I were going to break it, but it did allow for close fitting panels with great, scale detail, without being over built.

The LC500 is such a cool design. I would love a 1:1 but ever since they banned future imports of this vehicle and the R35 GTR in Australia prices have remained high.

Autoart did a great job on this one, lots of great details and most importantly the sharp lines and well replicated. Red on Black - classic combo.

Wow, that's a shame. What's behind the ban?

I can definitely recommend the LC, definitely worth finding a way to make the cost of it work ("man maths" as it's known on a certain car forum in the UK!). It feels like a car that's a lot more expensive than it actually is and the V8 has a real split personality. Like a luxury limo when you're gentle, and then launches you toward the horizon with a NASCAR soundtrack when you floor it 😁
