There is something wrong with the description on the Volvo.
The one that is on the picture is a 850R, not a T5 r.
The 850 T5r was only offered in yellow, black and a dark green metallic paint.
The 850R on the other hand was offered in red among other colors.

the trunk badge also clearly says only R. Let’s see if they spot their mistake 😉

Interesting for sure! Not one I'm interested in though.
It's a second 1980's French Super Production model.
I like touring car racing, but the series did nothing for me at the time.
Parts of French motorsport were trying to get the truly international group A series to be the tin top 'top dog'.
In the end this championship split the motorsport resources and interest in France, to the detriment of both.
I know that there were no French cars suitable for competing against the likes of the E30 M3 or RS500.
Yet the first model released was based on an Italian Alfa Romeo GTV6.
The BMW 635 also soldiered on in the series, after both were also rans in group A.
Interestingly, the oh so French Citroen AX is right hand drive!

Yipppeeee! I wanted a 100. But that’ll do! :) A-pillars look a bit thick, but could just be the angle.
I wanted someone else to point this out instead of me this time!
(The windscreen has mostly survived being misshapen this time).
Companies must be having roof cave ins with resin models, it's the only excuse I can think of.
Even if it were simple sealed metal this would not be a problem.
If a corrected group A rally version was produced, I would be after one.

If there is a roof cave in problem, is it compounded if the 1:1 has naturally thinner A pillars, as most older cars do?

That's a good point, modern cars do have stronger/wider roof pillars than the older stuff.
Resin manufacturers need to look at metal reinforcements inside the resin at potential weak points, like with reinforced concrete.
It won't happen of course, unless 100 bodies are produced with a high failure rate with the few good ones retained and the rest are then scrapped.
It has to be part of the reason some resin manufacturing companies are asking the prices that they are....

Two more paint jobs!

And two with very decent A pillars and windscreen shape.
Although I would rate the Fiesta version at about 90%, the Megane is about spot on.
Shows resin manufacturers can do a better job if they try hard enough.
I have around 20 Otto models in road and rally form, and the pillars are between 85 and 100% for size and shape.
That is just my opinion of course! :sneaky:

The Fiesta XR2i is new. They did a Fiesta RS Turbo in Red years ago, not an XR2i.

Haha, yeah basically!

I will still get one though as no one's done one before and I quite like them.
