I complained about the Manta shown above.
I said that the IXO looks better, and decided to check out retailers to see if there were any new colours coming.
Not a single one of the big retailers have any in stock, although they are still around on e-bay.

But the 1/12 scale 1969 Dodge Charger sold out within a day, and the 1/12 scale 1965 Mustang GT350 sold out within a week.

A fair point.
Neither interested me, but as I stated on the Otto thread when they were announced, a race 350R will have my order the same day. :>)

I find that I have no interest in any of these eccentric Citroens.
The styling has never appealed to me, although I acknowledge those who see them as automotive 'art'.
I don't understand art either....

In relation to my post about the GTAm, just a couple of additional points.
There are mostly metal grills used around the front end, and the central radiator is open with some detail behind.
It's also the first Otto I have owned which is free running out of the box!

I quite like that Subaru, but gosh there’s zero imagination gone into that livery

A look at their web links to the production facilities shows markings usually are hand applied waterslide decals.
This takes time and care, and is the reason competition models are more expensive.
Anyway, the simpler the livery, the less chance of errors. :D
On a personal note, I have had such decals mysteriously shift position behind my back.
Years of application work has taught me to keep a close eye on my efforts, and it's usually still possible to put the decal back into the correct position before it's too late.

Scuddy, I for one didn't think you were being too harsh.
After all, I'm more than happy to call out the poor shape of some of their models - the upcoming Corolla WRC is laughable.
This Impreza is left hand drive, which I think is rare in this scale...

Nowadays one can buy the full opening Autoart version for nearly the same price as the Otto. I don't get the choice to make this model.

It seems to be a mental issue with so many manufacturers these days.
How many versions of the truly awful 2CV are out there?
And at the other end of the popularity level (for me anyway) there are just too many Lancia Stratos models on the loose.
I've posted a number of suggestion models for a variety of manufacturers, almost none have been available in 1/18th scale.

Yes, and also the 200. It won a Safari rally.

Agreed about that choice.
And I doubt even Spark would tackle it, even in a niche area of our hobby such as rallying, this is a niche subject.
It's something Z models as an entity should be concentrating on, rather than comically overblown 911's and others.
And what of the Z models 1/12th scale subjects that were spoken about?
If they hoped the wretched 2CV was a toe in the water - it's not surprising nothing more has happened.
I noted with some amusement how quickly it was dumped into the clearance bin.
