That Fiesta is the first Otto model for way more than a year I fancy getting.
However it looks a little odd in the front, probably the angle of the photo.
I will have to get one (there will probably be more colours on the way) since the Fiesta is to be killed off.
More decent cars dying because stupid people are now buying 'super size' versions instead.....

Not this time, but we are thinking about RHD Ford for next year ;)
I guess there's no point in me guessing what it will be.
From memory only Australian Fords were RHD only.
Some generations of the Cortina had a slightly different shape to their German Taunus sisters, so possibly that.
An easy option would be a MK1 Fiesta Supersport (a car I had an opportunity to drive for two days).
Fingers crossed for an 105/123E Anglia, or perhaps a racing Puma....

I like touring car race models, but I just can't generate any fondness for these France only cars.
The regulations for group A precluded a front runner in the category, so 'Superproduction' was heavily promoted.
The underlying rules were custom designed to favour locally built cars, as any entry list and results will show.
You could argue the value of such an approach either way, judgement could be made by how well know the category is known internationally.

Ford is in the news today, even at OttOmobile with the fourth March Club model!

I'm glad I invested in the very decent Minichamps RS version, albeit the way better looking facelift model.
I always thought that this generation of the Focus was far too boring around the front end, rather bland to my eyes.
If we are going for an older Ford - why not a Cortina?

I love that Visa van! I’m not sure why, but they always make me smile. It’s weird, I know :)
I think I saw that Solido are soon going to produce the same thing in metal.
Which means a second model of an eccentric, uninteresting car.
What happened to the boast from some years ago that Otto would not replicate anything already on the market?

Edit - they already have a version with side windows - easy top paint over them if required.

I'm giving up on Otto.
I like to consider myself as a petrolhead of several decades who has keep a close eye on cars from around the globe.
I've never heard of this Volkswagen and could hardly care less about it as a subject.
Just how many more obscure and irrelevant subjects are Otto going to produce?
I can only hope the more desirable and mainstream subjects still waiting to be produced in 1/18th scale will arrive from Solido.

If that image above is a hint of an upcoming subject, it will be on my shopping list.
An ST220 Mondeo is too long waiting for a 1/18th scale model - hopefully (!) it will be right hand drive.....
And the metallic mid blue colour is the best for this car in my view.
I know I'm being greedy, but an estate version would also be nice!

I think it's mainly aimed at the French market. This film has been making young and old laugh for years, if not decades (and it's not over yet). The DS that flies away in the last frame has become a cult. It's the second degree about the car which, at the 1955 Paris show, was nicknamed a flying saucer.
OK, I haven't seen the film - and don't want to.
Comedy often seems to travel badly....
