I have a quick question. Say I want to "2 tone" the model(say top half white & bottom half blue) If the model is origonally white, can i get away without striping the paint off of the mod & apply the blue to the lower half without any problems? The reason I ask this is because I came up with a pretty cool idea to take my AUTOart 911 GT3R & do a retro sponcership to it By the 2 colors I mentioned, I have a feeling that some people have an Idea what it may be!! BUT I would like to get every1's knowhow befor i attemped it(& destroy the mod! )

Any info would be great,

Thanks,

Johny

Johny,

You can get away with only sanding the lower portion or the part your wanting to spray blue.

Will the blue fade into the white or will it blck off?

Actually :giggle It will be doing thjis type thing,

I have extra Patto decals that gave me the idea to convert my 911 GT3R into the 956's grandson :lol I already stripped the 911 of all the decals that were on it (except 2) & am just trying to figure how to do it! Your info is a big help, Darrick! I will just have to make a mockup of the pinstripe so I will have an exact idea on where to start the sanding,,,, Actually, do I have to sand it down deep or do I just have to give it texture for the new blue paint to bond well to?

It seems like this is gettingto be more & more possible now!!!! :happy :woohoo

I kind of figured that would be the outcome but inthe area where the paint will meet up there will be the red/ gold pinstripes, so I am hoping this will hide this line
oh well I will only find out after I try!!!!! :tempted
