I also posted this on the drag racing folder. this was a very buget kit that was commonly available sometime ago. It has been repainted, re-chromed, and mildly detailed.

looks good! Did you do the flames? If so HOW???? Are they decals or painted?

You have a good eye, and that's a great question....

THEY ARE BOTH. I initially tried using a basic flame decal from SLIXX in 1:24 but it did not work on the car, as I liked. I ended up cutting it up into several pieces to layout on the car the way I wanted and then used white, black, yellow, and burnt orange paints to tie them together and balance them with the burnt orange sides of the car.

Basically I used some cut-up flame decals as a template and then painted over them.
