As Anders said he prefered my Toyota GT1 banner over the Viper one, I thought I'd post these old pics. They're among my favourites.

Notice, my car does not have "that" tennis ball attached to it. Did I get gipped?? :giggle

Beep beep, move over NOW!! :lol

:lol :lol :lol

For a laugh, I might see if I can find a miniature tennis ball (complete with the little fuzzy hairs). I'll build a little air inlet cover too and connect the ball to it using a thin filament fishline.

In case anyone is totally confused by what MB and I are talking about, here's the reference picture:

I certainly do prefer the Toyota. I mean, with photos as good as the one's you have taken Felix, how could a Viper look any better??? I argue it can't! :cool

Your are an absolute master with your photography. Maybe we should all form a mutual photographic appreciation society, with the first exhibition by Felix.

Simply stunning shots....

Tom....your much too kind with your compliments. :giggle :cheers But I thank you all the same. Well, this way, GG doesn't beathe down my neck & I can shoot my pictures and do the photo-editing at my own leisurely pace.

I suppose there are a few different ways of taking pictures of diecasts. One is to go with a very "technical" approach where the model is shown very objectively. In contrast, I mess around by matching up different coloured backgrounds to try to draw out certain colours out of the model. I guess I also try to capture the lines of the car that make the car distinctive from all other cars. So, rather than composing my shots in an objective fashion, I try to be more interpretive and evoke an emotion from shots. Sorry for the ramble....I'm a project engineer in the daytime so I need my artsy outlet with my diecasts and photography in my "off hours". :lol :lol

I'm glad the pics of the AUTOart GT1 made up for my re-using the Viper GTS-R banner. :lol That sort of means I'm forgiven right?? :giggle

Oh my....I do not think of myself as a master. But, I do think I've learned just enough fundamentals that I don't find myself as frustrated trying to create decent pictures. That's in stark contrast to when I started mucking aroudn with my digicam a little over a year ago. My pictures often had glare off car windows, dark spots, and overexposed parts of the cars. With time/practice/patience, I had gained enough experience to light up my cars well without subjecting myself to those problems I just mentioned.

Anyway, I always try to view myself as a student in anythign in life. That way, I'm always learning good nuggets of information from others.

Of course you are forgiven. :danbana
Got any good close cockpit shots of the old red beastie? If anyone can shoot good photos of that sort of detail, you can.
