I love Audis and with the first day of announcement I was sure I would buy the Minichamps V8 with the intention to convert it into a street version.

As I work in a hobbyshop I bought it at the same day as it was released and put my hands on it.

I stripped the body and removed all specific features of a DTM car.

Then it was grinded and painted in a classy dark blue.

Next step was to built an interior. Therefor I used parts from a Maisto Jaguar X-Type. I fit them in with model clay.

And that was the result after a few days of work:

A few weeks ago I decided to grant it a little "make-up". :tease
I decolored the front indicators and changed the wheels into A8-rims.

Guess, it looks pretty cool now. :joy

I really don't care much about Audi's besides the RS and S lines.
But what I do like is your customing skills! You have showed some pretty nice models here over the last days. :cheers
I'm not into the "based on real" customs myself but surely I like your models.

The main reason why I'm customing models are that I'm able to make models of cars that don't exist and are purely special because of that. I like letting my imagination run loose more than making exact replicas of the real 1:1.

Wow. That's perhaps the most impressive yet, to do a complete conversion. I love the colour and that car looks great as a street car.
