Well just bought a 1967 ford mustang that ben p use to own you guys might remember it. Any ways its gone under the chop already feat. drivers racing seat, gear shifter. handbrake and quick shifter, nos tanks, sound system, gauges and i have done my 1st engine conversion i pulled out the 1967 ford mustang engine and put in a Au ford falcon supercar engine. At the moment it looks all good BUT that won't be the last of things i know i have said im doing customs and never get around to do them or never finish them but this will b started and finished. Me and ben was talking tonight heaps about this custom and this is what we have come up with.

Stage 1 - THE START

fill in holes and smooth the body out

Stage 2 - THE LOOX

Spray the exterior in def. blue (holden monaro def. blue)
Spray the interior in white and navy blue
Add monster tacho and shift light
Add Drivers racing seat
Add Entertainment system (subs, amps, tvs, dvd, ps2 e.t.c.)
Add some stickers on the back window (not sure if i will do this or not)
Chrome parts on the exterior and some on the interior
Add Wing (might add a small boot lip or even a little boot wing)
Fix up Wheels

Stage 3 - THE SPEED

Add NOS/N20 tanks
Fix up the engine
Add Bonnet Scoop (shacker bonnet scoop)
Add Bonnet Pins
Add Side pipes (mufflers coming out the side)

so this is what we have come up with i will add a pic of what she looks like atm since it left the hands of ben p it has not changed a bit but since i have had it in my hands i have added tv, subs, amps, nos, racing seat, racing steering wheel, gear shifter, handbrake and quick shifter, engine and monster tacho.

if anyone has any idea what i could use for chrome please let me know i want chrome as in polish looking chrome if i can't find anything like this i might just spray the parts i want chrome in silver any ways here is the pic b4 i got it just to jog some of your memorys

no sorry that photo ben p took thats what he did to the model. i took it off his hands some what to say and now i am going to finish the custom mustang im getting help from ben p also with what to do e.g. should i put a big hornet scoop or a little shacker scoop. that type of thing and with the colours and how to do stuff. so in other words its sort of him cre8ing this model also as well as me making it.
thanks for all the good words but i have to say the car in the photo ben p made and it has sorta changed but nothing you could see in that photo if i took it anyways yeh so. i give credit to ben p for what he has done and i hope he helps me along the way with this custom model. then he might see it again next yr in july if not sooner. as i noted b4 more feed back is needed with the mods i am doing and where u think i can get some of the parts from...
thank you
ben (HKdesigns)

H kid, the chin spoiler is simply a plastic spoiler that is mounted on the front of the car, on the lower valance panel. On most cars of the era (60's) it actually gave them some aero benefit at high speeds) Look at the '69 Camaros and Mustangs for reference, to see an example. (The Ertl stuff is a good refernce) As for chrome parts, I would suggest using "bare metal foil" for the part. It looks like real chrome when applied properly!

Ben I just realised on the base that I found in my cupboard... its a 64 mustang... not a 66 as we thought

I am starting to steer away from the bonnet scoop now... like the clean original lines

sorry about taking so long on this project and not being around much i am trying to get on here alot more now.
Back to the car.

1966 ford mustang prostreet dragracer

mods i have done so far

new steering wheel (hotwheels nissan Z)

monster tacho on dash with shift light put on the steering wheel part so u can c it
threw the steering wheel.

boost gauge put on dash.

MM nissan skyline R34 handbrake and gear stick have been used insted of the other 1 i had from the ford supercar.

new peddals have been put into take the place of the stock auto pedels i have used the ford v8 supercar pedels and they not look 2 bad in it.

rearview mirror i got out of the MM nissan skyline R34.

4 point harness belts used in front passangers seat also the 2 back seats.

V8supercar racing seat with 4point harness.

nos tank on back seat.

ford v8 supercar engine.

numberplates (i put a set of number plates i got off the Hot Wheels nissan Z but i am going to change the number plates so they look like new south wales style and the words will be "PRO-???" atm i have not thought of a number next to the pro i might have "PRO-351" but im not sure atm.

i am atm looking around for some type of fabrik i can use on the roof and also im looking around to find a battery i can have under the bonnet.

things to come:

i am going to cut of the 2 bonnet hindges and shave it all smooth and add the gas struts from the ford XR8 on it and also 2 hood pins on the bonnet and 2 on the boot. i have also started on trying to get the back wheels under the guards more and not sticking out side the car like they have been. i will spray the car after i finish off the interior and engine mods. i will then add chrome on some places so it looks much much better and give it a better look.
i might even use the mufflers from the Hot Wheels nissan Z because 2 me it looks a bit like the center tank looks a bit like a drop tank so that will help also so i will have 2 mufflers on 1 side and drop tank in the center i will also try find a fuel cap that will suit the car and put it on the back boot the way it use 2 b. then i will fill in the door handle holes and anything else that needs to be filled up.

thanks again and i have been taking some photo's (not that gr8) but they r photo's and i will add them 2night or even 2morrow morning.

thanks again 4 having me here
see u guys l8r

gauges have been put into place
nos tank on back seat has been put into place
racing pedels have been put into place
handbrake and gear stick/shifter have been put into place
center part of roll cage and back peace of roll cage have been put into place

all that needs to be done now is the front part of the roll cage but that will not be put on till last then i just need hood pins, gas struts for bonnet, and blower and fix up the engine and then re-paint the mustang
and the mustang is finished
