Anyone tried this style of photography?

One morning I woke up at 6 o'clock and saw that my models looked great in the dark. So I took out my flashlight and took some pics of my F1 (it is commonly the guinea pig of my photos cause it's big and its in the center of everything). The pics turned out wonderful. Then today I went down to the basement where it was absolutely black as pitch and my good flashlight died right before I snapped a shot down there :ranting so I used a MagLite which had a bit of a smaller beam. Heres the outcome, I absolutely love the effect this has:

and then in the basement with a different light

and my favorite shot out of all of them, the shadow effect on this one is incredible:
:cool

So whaddya guys think? Has anyone ever tried this before? It's kind of difficult because the flashlight beam is small and you have to stand far away sometimes and you have to watch out cause its in the dark and sometimes I screwed up the camera by pressing the wrong buttons accidentally. :feedback :cheers

Sure did. :cheers

I've played around with the lighting just to see what kind of surprises I would find.

This one here is with one 100 watt bulb about a foot above the subject.

And this one is 5 inches or so right on top. Came out quite interesting. Believe it or not, the background is actually bright yellow, but the camera somehow got "snow blinded" by the light and captured the pic this way.
