Now this car is a real gem from Minichamps!! I still need to figure out how to light up 1:43s properly. Photographing/lighting up these little things is quite different from 1:18s. I'll eventually figure it out.

Notice the resemblence to the 2001 Bentley Speed 8? :giggle

Felix, your slippery slope seems to be lined with oodles of grease.

Congratulations on those two great looking marvels. I came here thinking i would see the regular Maisto Audi. This is the first time i am seeing the audi in that body style with those headlamps. Looks cool with the fenders having a window for the wheels.

Wishing you more of these little gems. :cheers

:lol :lol :lol That's a pretty good way of putting it Winston!!

Thanks for the congrats. These little gems are quite decent cars when you consider their size. I think the fenders have openings rather than the "windows" you referred to. My guess is that they are for coolling purposes (for brake discs).

Thanks for your most kind compliments Dr. Jeff. I'm not sure I'm quite deserving of those as the pictures look a little grainy. I guess I was more excited about showing off the car rather than waiting until I could produce some really sharp pictures. :giggle :giggle Honestly though, I'm head over heels over this car!! From the time I saw you post your Scalextric (?) R8C, I thought the R8C was one to have in my collection. I just got lucky in finding a Minichamps diecast rather than the slotcars that usually come up on eBay for sale.

Anyway, I re-shot the car against a white background and managed to produce some slightly better pics. The goal, as always, is to try to capture the truly elegant lines of this car.
