Does anyone else hate how AutoArt uses these huge trunk hinges? They really make an otherwise fantastic model look cheap (at least when the trunk is open :giggle ) Kyosho uses these tiny hinges that slide back behind the carpet, why can't AutoArt?

Just my weird obsevation :WTF

You have a point there... AutoArt's hinges are pretty big indeed and unrealistic. Also, most bonnets and trunk covers on Kyoshos with those hinges you mean stay up.
It's actually a pretty nice system. The hinges Kyosho (and Minichamps) use slide into two slots instead of hinging in one point.

While on some cars this is accurate, yet on others it is totally wrong. It probably just comes down to cost, but then again the kind of hinges Kyosho uses probably dont cost much either. Also UT used the kind of hinges Kyosho and Minicheamps used on some cars. My BMW M Coupe has them. Anyway I have no idea why they use the kind they use :confused

I think that is my pet peeve with the brand. I love their products to death, but why the hack can't they make ALL their trunk and hoods stay up when open? :ranting The worse part is that this wasn't a real problem with their earlier releases. lately, it looks like every car by them has this "feature". :pullhair
