You're most welcome Darrick! After photographing the car this morning, I had been fighting with my with my saturation and contrast to make the pictures look a little better. It's still not quite what I'd like it to be. Back to the drawing board (maybe with halogens rather than light through the skylight).DiecastX said:Felix,

I thought the same thing about Hot Wheels's overall poorer quality. What kills me is how some of the Schumi models by Hot Wheels cost upwards of US$150!!! :scared I'd rather buy a Minichamps non-Ferrari F1 car at that price.nadav_86 said:Hot Wheels is sucks :scared
but I love this model :drool :drool :drool :drool :drool

They're still some great pics. The car looks great against that background.StygianMax said:You're most welcome Darrick! That's why I hunt, hunt, hunt until I can find them at the right price. Generally, the "special" ones (championship cars, wins, etc...) I have found the best price at....the Ferrari dealership. The one near me usually doesn't charge a much higher premium. Mason-Distributing also has decent prices on occasion.I thought the same thing about Hot Wheels's overall poorer quality. Thanks for the suggestions Dr. Jeff. My trouble is this. On my wifey's PC, the levels that look good on her flat LCD screen look terrible and washed out on my PC's CRT. The reason I'm not using my PC for the image editting is because it's a dinosaur of a PC (300MHz CPU with 128Mb of RAM & no USB port to download my pics to). So my workflow is convoluted as I have to image edit on my wife's PC, upload to photobucket.com, THEN check on my CRT to see how the colours turn out. After that is when I go back to the other PC to adjust contrast/brightness/saturation. I really need to find a more effective/efficient way!!vegasracer said:Very nice, Felix! You may want to play with the Levels command while you're tweaking contrast/saturation. That might be the missing piece.
:lol :lol You are MUCH too kind with your words Souky!! As the Hot Wheels was on discount, I can accept its quality. But quite frankly, I can see the day when I'll get a Minichamps F1 car (possibly a 2004 BAR-Honda car). :cheers :cheersGetter 3 said:You have turned a so-so diecast in to a great looking piece! :danbanna
We can't trust you anymore. This is fraud man! It's like ordering a McDonald burger, thinking that you'll get a fat & juicy burger in the pic, but instead got a "what the hell is this?" burger... :giggle
Awesome pics, Felix. Just awesome. :nicejob :nicejob :nicejob :cheers
Thanks R-GUNZ. The car is actually my son's. I bought that one on sale so you might say it was worth it. For SM Jr, he never complains about getting a new diecast. :giggleRattlerGUNZ said::drool :drool :drool :drool :drool :drool
