Renault 40 CV NM 1926.
Back in 1926 Renault set a new 24-hour world speed record at 173.649 km/h with this single-seater 9.1L straight six car.
Nice little model by Altaya/Norev that can be found for little money - mostly in silver/black livery but I liked this two-tone blue version better:

My next one is the Challenger I - a land speed record car by American hod rod specialist Mickey Thompson.

The Challenger I was powered by 4 supercharged Pontiac and on Sep. 9th 1960 Thompson reached 406mph one way at Bonneville flats - beating the 400mph threshold for the first time ever. However the gods of Bonneville can be cruel and the car failed on the second run back. So Thompson never held the official LSR.

Nevertheless the Challenger I is amongst my top 3 favourite LSR cars and Replicarz did a very impressive 1/18 model.
This thing is really huge and heavy - sealed resin unfortuantely. Just imaginge how fascinating the engine bay of this record car would have been...

The special effect is from an artistic filter offers by Photoshop - I think in English it is called „Glowing Edges“…

Yep there is nothing wrong with that Dirk. That is really nice; the lighting, the cool and unique shape of the car..you could hang that up on the wall. There is nothing wrong with it..but personallyI can't get past the crop leaving so little car in frame. You have enough black space to put in a history of the car lol. Such a cool and evocotive subject and it only gets a third of the picture, unless it was for an ad I would think..just my 2 coins.
