I thought about this car long and hard.... in the end, i bought it... it put a big smile on my face the moment i took it out of the shop so no regrets at all!!!! it has been aong time since i last thought so much about getting a car.... sad to say i have no pics at all cos i do hav yet have my camera..... the yellow with black rims is a really nice contrast and this car differs from the rest i see in the shop cos the newer ones have the fuel refuelling thingy at the rare side window, this does not...

so all i can do is post up some box scans...

i THINK i will start a BMW M1 collection...hmm.....although i won't pay fcr those expensive rare ones, perhaps i'll carry on from this with those that are currently avalible..... M1s are really nice cars.....

although i can find quite a few.. or a number of things that could be improved upon in this model...somehow i still love it... it just feels good..... it feels worth the $$$ i paid for, even though quality isn;t as great as Autoarts....but somehow, minichamps cars jjust manage to have that extra something special..... kinda like an Alfa Romeo...hmmm... character?

minichamps makes some Great racing BMW cars... can't wait to add in the IMSA CSL too..... so now i'm up...59cars...hehe.... 1 more to magic 60

Great model!

The M1 road car was the first european car that I loved as a kid. I still love the design.

I've been tempted to add some M1's. I really like the red/white BASF one:

Sorry to hijack your thread Mockingbird but I have a related question:

I shouldn't have done this but after reading this thread I decided to check out eBay... big mistake. :giggle

I now know that Minichamps made the Red/White BASF car in 1:18. :tempted

Does anyone know if they ever made this car in 1:18?:

It appears to have a map of the original Nurburgring track on it, which is very cool.

Unfortunately, it hasn't been modelled in 1/18 yet. :( Zag a zum car is one my favorite map car next to the Map of France.

The Andy Warhol "Art Car" would be a great addition. My personal favorites are the Motorsport striped Piquet and Regazzoni cars.

The latest M1 release is the Pooh Jeans/Penthouse car.

Thanks for the clarification! That's probably good because on eBay there's one that sold for about $145US and 2 still going; one at $94US and the other at $45US (with 3 days left).

A 1:18 of this would go for like $500US. :giggle
