This just came out I think. BMW will release all of the art cars they have in 1/18 (and 1/43 soon), 15 in total.

I agree :iagree
Wheels are ugly and the paint scheme is not a happy one !!

Kelvin, could you enumerate all the Art Cars please?

I will try to start :
-3,0 CSL Alexander Calder...
-3,0 CSL turbo Frank Stella
-320i E21 Lichtenstein
-V12 Jenny Holzer
-M1 Andy Warhol
-M3 GTR E36 Sandro Chia
-Z1 A.R. Penck
-M3 E30 Jagamara Nelson
-635csi Ernst Fuchs
-this new "horrendous" 635
-...?

You could check www.bmwonline.com for the art cars but I'm not sure if they have them all listed there either. I like BMW's and collect them but I can't seem to get into the art cars. I'm surprised that I don't since I'm into cars and I'm into modern arts.

I kinda like the painting on the body but the wheel covers are indeed ugly. I'll have to visit the dealership to see it up close.

Art Cars are definitely an acquired taste. Ronan (aka Dr. Evil) loves'em. :happy

Me? Like Luciano, I like the Calder CSL & Warhol's M1. Stella's 3.0 CSL is not bad looking either... :tempted Holzer's V12 LMR is nice, but not artsy enough for me to justify the price.

Overall, I give this line a 7 out of 10. :cheers

Gentleman,
I have the Calder Art Car and now I am buying the Frank Stella Art Car.
As you can see, I like those CSL BMWs ... :giggle :giggle

But I have a question about another Art Car model:

Who knows the Sandro Chia Art Car model?
Did any of you have one?
Any Pic?

I am thinking about buying one.... :feedback

I have the Chia art car JRO, but I'm at work until late tonight so I will not be able to post pics of it until tomorrow I think. It is a UT M3 GTR with the art car graphics on it, so not the last word in detail (it is based on quite an old model now) but it looks superb :cheers

Tks, Ronan.
If this is possible for you, I will love to see the pics from the Chia Art Car.
I am thinking about the Andy Warhol M1 too... :giggle

:lol No problem JRO! I'll post some pics either tonight or tomorrow. The Warhol M1 is a lovely model too! Exactly the same quality as a regular Minichamps racing M1 but with an amazing paintjob! :cheers
