I was spurred on by a thought planted in my head by Ken Robinson. He earlier posted "Regarding Black cars, our clients seem to like Black on Black"

With that as my inspiration, I thought I'd try doing something really unusual with my black McLaren. I had already tried a couple other backgrounds but none really worked. The challenge with this car all comes down to lighting with the goal of highlighting the curves and edges of the car.

So here's something different for the Loctite!

(#1 is the favourite of the bunch)

Shame on you for making our lady cry Felix. :giggle

Gorgeous shots as always. :nicejob :cheers

I haven't had the pleasure to deal with black vehicles yet, but I can imagine the trouble you must have gone through trying to get the proper lighting & angles for this color.

Just like blue.... :badidea

I think ALI G made me cry more with her Sauber C9s. :crying

Thanks Souky for your encouraging words. It sounds like I like photgraphing black cars as much as you like blue ones. :lol :drinkbud :drinkbud

I'm glad you like those shots Kurt. I posted those a little while back. I guess Darrick was doing some digging (or housekeeping). :giggle I'm not sure what possessed me to try to pull off black on black photos. Talk about little contrast and making life difficult for myself. Too bad I don't have Ken Robinson's original picture because I'm sure I was inspired by some amazing photo someone else took.

Very good, Felix. I've always liked your photos and they've been an inspiration for my own shots. I especially like the first one, it really highlights the shape with wonderful reflections.

Souky: Please tell me something....do you REALLY like doors that open on a 1:18?? :confused Please clarify so I do not misunderstand. :giggle

Steve/Jayfields/induce: Glad you like the photos. :cheers One day, I'd like to try shots like that again with better digicam. Those were shot with a 3.2Mpix Canon S30 .
