Hi, i bought two cars from his ebay site. Am more comfident buying off Ebay than from the Exoto website, mainly due to Paypal.
Received one car within a week after buying, second one should arrive soon too.
Prices are better than from their website anyway, so its worth a shot if you ask me.
Problem is paintrash, most of the Ferrari models have it im various degrees, but what to do!
If it arrived like that, send it back!!!

I think Exoto has a second ebay account, called minosh13. They were both based in cali, so I googled how far woodland hills is from calabasas, and guess what, 9 minute driving distance! The only difference, as far as I can tell, is that the minosh13 account allows best offers. I'd still much rather buy through ebay, as at least I'm covered that way (although if you pay using paypal through Exoto, you're also covered), so I will check it out. The shipping price to Canada is $78!!! Translates to $100 cdn. I can ship three 1/18 models to the states for that money. I messaged them so we'll see what happens. If all goes well, I'm putting it an offer for the d-type.

Posted on the wrong topic. My bad, didn't mind to properly search casadibattiloro. I want to buy a Jaguar for a friend from their ebay page. The price is very tempting. Should I risk or not? Any recent experience with them?

Any transaction with Tony has a higher chance of ending in frustration. NEVER PRE ORDER anything from EXOTO. Make sure the item is in stock and have him send you pics of the model being shipped being unpacked and inspected. Otherwise dust off your feet and move on the next item on list.

He promised (well whoever administrates that ebay account, or is it Mr. Tony K. doing all the business by himself now?) he will check before shipping but I am not sure he will. Should I insist and maybe convince him that I really want him to choose a better example of the models left in stock?
I am covered by Paypal but if I return the model I loose the return shipping cost, right?

With that guy I really never know what to expect, many people have made complaints. The models I received were fine many years ago. But Those Jags are probably getting done to the returns and less than ideal examples so proceed at your discretion

And getting the model straight from Exoto.com is the same thing, right? Or is this ebay page more prone to sell defective models?

Yep if it is old stock you gotta figure at this point it is a return. All the god ones are taken up by now. Not many people sell that model. It is a keeper for sure. Like I said earliar ask for a complete inspection

Asking for a complete inspection is a waste of time - whenever I dealt they've said that they inspected them prior to sending.. so they must magically get paint rash & other problems en route
