I'm reviewing a car made in 1/18 by classic carlectables, the 1972 valiant E49 hemi charger in vitamin C orange. classic carlectables produce very high quality models and the charger really shows it

Paint 8/8: the vitamin C coulor on this car is flawless!! no dust cought under it , no pimples and no blemishes. also the paint doesn't ahve that rippled effect seen on some lower end models, the paint is also has a bit of a shine.

exterior: 7/8 : the car has the correct proporions, all the decals are applied perfectly, the size of the gaps between doors and body are small, the vents on the rear side windoes are cut through, all metal aprts are done in metal, the door handles are exact 1/18 of the real thing, the grill is peforated and has the red lnes on it. it even has the 4 on the front fender black stripe, the windows look correct, what let don the model slightly was that the slats in fornt of the windscreen weren't cut through.

interior: 8/8 bevcuse the window on the left side is fully up, a tool is provided to help u open it but the right window is fuly down so u can open it yourself. this car's got the works, the dash is realistic, you could read the instrument if u had a magnifying glass, the inerior is carpeted, there are no gaps in the footwells as seen on lowere end models, the seats ahve a soft feel and recline and slide, seatbelt and photo etch buckle are there, it even has the charger R/T logo on the rear bench seat. to open the boot, u press a button located undernath the car at the rear. in the boot, the carpeting is absent as in the real model, the spare tire and jack and the 160 litre fuel tank are present, the spare tyre is also removable, the wiring for the taillights is also present, warning stickers are there too.

wheels and brakes 6/6: these don't let u down, the discs on front and drums on rear rotate with wheels, the calipes are present on fornt discs. the correct 5 slot grey wheels are there, lugnut look realsitc and the tyres arent branded but that's how there were on the real thing, the tyres ahve the red circle on them

engine and undercarrige: 7/8 this car rulles!! firstly, u have to push a button under the car to open the hood.under the hood, everything is wired, nut just the cylinderds as in some models. the 3 air cleaners are ther, they have tiny holes in them, the three weber 2 barre4l carbs are easy to spot and so is the ribbed rocker cover, battery is detiled well, even has Chrysler parts logo on it. Exhaust manifold are mold correctly, the drive belt is plastic but it is modled to simulate a dirve belt, all accesories are there ( oil pump, fuel pump etc) and radiotr and cooling fan look realsitc. finally the throtle spring is present. as for the unercarrgie ,it doen't let down, looks real, olil sump case is there, reifnorce ment for it is there, suspension works( like the ral thing) driveshafe rotates and exhaust system looks real.

competiton 6/6: onlty CC has made this car in 1/18 so there is no competition, besides this model is ahrd to beat in detail and quality.

desirablity 6/6: this carhas been long awaited in diecast and it was fastest accelrating aussie production car for a long time, those levels of deatil also attract u to buy. it is also a limited edtion of 2000 so not many are left on sale, included with this model is a certifiacete of authenticity and an 8 page booklet with specs on the E49.

overall : 48/ 50

hope you like my first review

p.s. CC is relasing another one of these in hemi orange

Thanks for the review RW , ......just one small observation to comment on though ...your scores are paint 8/8 , exterior 7/8 , interior 8/8 , wheels 6/6 , engine & undercarriage 5/6 , competition 6/6 , desirability 6/6 .

That means the overall score (by my maths ) is 46/48 and not 46/50 .
I think engine/undercarriage should be marked out of 8 instead of 6 .
Look forward to your next one
