I got this Sunday at Wal-Mart for $7. I think it was marked down because to look at the box, it looks like it got shipped on a Conastoga wagon across the Santa Fe trail.
I've seen this model for a while and been mixed about it, but for some reason I wanted it.
Chrysler Crossfire by MotorMax. The paint is extremely good. It has a couple places where it is a little scuffed up, but it didn't come that way, it's happened because of it's treatment in the store. There is one place on the hatch where the edge of the spoiler looks a little clumsy, shown in the pictures, and the hatch will not stay up all the way it will fall half the way back down. On the front gills, there is paint over-spray, also shown in the pictures. Aslo, the tail lights look a little odd, but other than that, the body looks good and accurate.
Under chassis detail is slim, especially at the front. It has a front suspension piece, a rear suspension piece and a seperate exhaust piece. It has working suspension.
Tires and wheels are ok, but there is no writing on the tires. Calipers are fixed and the discs turn with the wheels.
The interior is good for a MotorMax. Of course there is no carpetting, but it looks like this one would be easy to carpet. The door panels I think are especially well done.
For engine detail, there is just an insert. There is alot of detail that could be brought out with painting, but there are no underhood manufacturer decals, stickers or tampos of any kind. Over-all, do I like it? You bet!!
