Their website will list the retailers who sell their products. The trick is to find one who not only ships abroad, but removes the GST from the item prior to selling. Depending on your country/currency, this may or may not be an issue (seeing you're in the US you're already at an advantage). Being in CA, I don't relish the thought of paying AU tax and then having Customs charge me CA tax on top of it. I'm still looking around to see who has it available for pre-order, but I may have to eat it if I want it.

But those of us living in that same 'worldwide' can't buy them here.....
Is there a reason you can't just order it from AU and have it shipped? Is the shipping cost prohibitive? I've paid between 30-40 CAD per diecast to ship to CA which is about double what I'd pay if buying from a CA retailer, but in line with shipping from the US once currency conversation is calculated.

Rule changes introduced by the EU late last year in relation to package content details and new hi tech labels had caused problems with OZ post.
I bought a Nissan Bluebird from a well established e-bay seller which was held for weeks in Australia before being returned to the seller.
In the end the whole excercise lost me €30 and I didn't get the model I wanted.
I don't fancy going through all of that again.
I have successfully bought from OZ e-bay before this change in the rules, so was prepared to accept the pain of the additional costs.

Does anyone have a recommendation for an AU retailer that ships to the US? I have sent several emails out to some dealers, but I wondered if anyone had a recommendation.

I have bought from these people several times over the last 5 years or so.
Parcels were sent with a value of AUS$50 in each case - only one was stopped and customs charges applied (€17.50 all in).
However, I would strongly recommend contacting them considering the customs changes that have been applied recently.
I know you are not in the EU, but I think the rule changes were agreed and applicable to all postal companies in 'western' countries.....

Many thanks. They were one of the ones I emailed.

If you have any questions and they're not responsive via email, reach out to them via ebay. They are user kollectablekaos. They are very helpful and quick to respond there (taking into account any time difference encountered).

S****y that you lost out on the shipping. I was not aware of any changes. I haven't encountered any recent issue with parcels from AU thankfully. One thing I know is when the US finally implements the change (and change frankly) we'll be close on their heels.

I'll have to get the West End one when it comes, my grandfather worked there for over 25 years. Sadly the West End brewery is being demolished as I write this.
That is a shame, I never had, or seen West End. Are they going to make a XXXX? Cause, I will buy that one. To be honest, I enjoyed XXXX Gold more than XB.

I think the list of brewers they are releasing in the series is on the bottom: Castlemaine, West End, and Tooheys.

It's quite a nice local touch.

I wouldn't say that West End was the gold standard in beer production or quality, however it has a proud and long history in South Australia. Just remembered that my mum also worked there, just after leaving school. A glass of West End Draught straight off the keg at near freezing temperature on a hot Australian summer day is still a refreshing drop.
Looks like they're doing a traditional beer tour of Australia..... VB - Victoria (Melbourne), Tooheys - New South Wales (Sydney), West End - South Australia (Adelaide, the best home of the Australian Grand Prix but I digress), Castlemaine - Queensland (Brisbane). None of the modern and superior beers look to be represented, which is likely due to the XC Falcon being discontinued around 1978, namely Coopers (Adelaide), James Boag (Tasmania, Launceston), Cascade (Tasmania, Hobart), etc.......
I'm getting thirsty.

Their concept of 'Worldwide' seems to be well wide of the mark.
Unless they think that the continent of Australia represents the whole world.
He he. We like to copy the Americans with that one.......baseball's World Series, anyone? :giggle:
I understand your pain regarding not having an EU distributor for these. CC have been around for a long time, there must be a good reason why no-one has taken on overseas distribution.

The Vegemite van is out now, and looks great. Might have to get one.
