Does anyone have both models? Is there that much difference between the 2? I'm thinking of getting one or the other...considering the CMC is an older model of theirs, is the Ricko comparable?

My brother has the CMC version and its a very nice model. Much better than the Ricko version of course.

Sill Ricko version is that bad from what I have seen in my local store. Still a good model.

It all comes down to the price they are asking for them. If you have enough cash to buy a CMC 300 Sl which is priced as newer releases from CMC, then get the newer models not the 300SL. But, if it is really good priced, I do reccomend the CMC over the Ricko.

Is money an issue in this? I know its a stupid question, but some people seem to have endless pockets around here :giggle

who has the bottomless pockets? :confused

Are we talking about the 1/24 here? Cause I didn't know CMC released a 1/18 300SL? :confused

Either way, I agree with Burn, get the CMC if u can afford it. Rickos seem to be decent models, but in no way comparable to CMC...

Are we talking about the LM cars? I thought you meant the road car :p

Then ya, the CMC is DEFINITLY better. Get that :D

Me? *points to self innocently* I have very VERY shallow pockets! :giggle

I think it comes down to two factors:
1) Availability
2) Price
If you can find both, then it's just a matter of how much you want to spend. Is the CMC better? Of course it is, but at A LOT more. For the price the Ricko version is a very good model in my opinion.

Smart money goes to Ricko. but both are winners in their own right. :cheers

If it comes down to it, I would probably go with CMC. But only because I'm picky.
