Convertible EB Z06

Inspired by Darrick's EB Z06, I decided to make a convertible with a spare one that I had. I took the top off, covered with masking tape (to give it grain) and painted it white. I made sure the "seams" where as close as 1:1 are. I painted the inside too. I covered where the glass would go on the inside, then just removed the tape to give it a window.

The stripes are just stickers, but some day I will get the nerve to paint them on.
The red hash marks are are "doritos" bag cut to size and stuck with double sided tape. And last the wheel spokes were blacked out to give it a GS look. :feedback

Slow day at work before the holiday. :danbanna

This is the inside. The tape was cut shorter and the edge painted black to simulate weatherstriping after the pic was taken (but I forgot to take another picture).

Well done Al! :cheers The only thing I would change would be the rims. I think if they were silver/aluminum they would be more harmonic with the rest of the car, specially now with the white roof.
Thanks LUW! The rims where silver, but I decided to go for the look of the '96 Grand Sport.

Al,

Looks cool, go ahead and finish it off by applying the paint :happy

I just love modding the Maisto Corvettes as they make some great practice cars and turn out really nice once done.

D*mm you X! :ranting I thought I was almost done with it, and now it looks like I am going to have to start over. :lol

I am now reconsidering the wheels like LUW suggested. They look sharp chromed on the 1:1.

Thanks for the link, it is booked-marked.

Awesome mod!!!!! :drool :drool :nicejob
3-1/2 years later, I finally painted on the stripes! :giggle Unfortunately (for me), it is also taking a road trip to TN!
A carpet job also found it's way into it.

Also gone are the "Doritos" stripes that were replaced with more proper automotive tape. :giggle
