I promised myself I wouldn't buy many this year but so far have failed on that promise. He shelves are getting full, so I think a trip to Ikea is on the cards sometime this summer. I finally got my Mercedes Porsche transporter. I added a cheap 987 boxster to match the real one I picked up. A Maisto xj220 as it was dirt cheap! Added to the Lotus collection to keep it up to date. Found a Sierra cossie on sale that I couldn't pass up. Added the Jordan 911 test car with john Watson and a Yamaha OX99.

I added to the Audi collection with this coupe GT from Otto. I have to say it's a great high quality model, even if it is resin.

With its big brother, an Autoart UR Quattro

Sorry, I get to this part and all rest was just blank for me. Man, I'm a sucker for the OX99-11, the most out-of-the-box supercar of the 90s, too bad it didn't actually reach production. But can't wait to see the photos of it!!

BTW, thanks for the engine photo on the Typ D. That sure is a looker, heh? Just be careful with the rubber bands on the engine lid latches, one of them on the left hand side is already broken...

The Auto Union engine is amazing. The latches have dry rotted. I was very disappointed when that one broke so they are now unlatched so I can look inside.

I've loved the OX99 since they came out and had F1 engine. I wish they had made production but I still wouldn't be able to afford it..... I think it could've outdid the F1. As soon as I heard there was a 1:18, I had to get it. I'll post a pic really soon.

As promised here are a few pics of the Spark Yamaha OX99. I've always loved the idea of these F1 engined cars for the road with their tandem seating and had to get one when I heard they were released. It's a really nice model and the finish is excellent. Nothing opens but then again nothing much opened on the real thing. I am a dumb ass and somehow dropped it removing it from the inner box and broke a mirror - which kills me.... especially as it has instantly become one of my top 10 models

Whilst it is not going to win many beauty contests, the Yamaha really had the potential of being something great. Like you I have one of these Spark models and love the contrast of it sitting beside a McLaren F1. Congratulations on the add - such a great subject - would have loved to see how far the Yamaha would have gone if the economy hadn'y collapsed at the time.

Such an amazing, clean shape it has. That front fender spoiler is so bonkers, everytime I see the Acura DPi racing it ALWAYS reminds me of this bugger. It's so clean, no spoilers, no cuts and creases, just like it was wind tunnel designed...
Didn't Spark make the red one too? Man, my heart sank when I looked at the first pic without the right-hand side mirror... hopefully you will fix it easy with a drop of glue.

Hey! Im back. Well I never officially left I guess but I can’t believe it’s nearly 2 years since I last logged in. I got weirdly busy during COVID and this kinda fell by the wayside. I’ve updated my list, and havent added a ton but I needed to calm down a bit on purchases anyways;) although I’ve a bunch of cars on preorder.....

Since I got my plane fleet to where I wanted it at my home office (well the boss said she didn’t want to see any more there....) I figured I’d ease back in with them and start posting up some cars again soon.

Lets see if I remember how to post these pics

So back to some regular programming and Lotus. Although I had a Clark Lotus 18, I also wanted the Moss one which was Lotus first win in F1 even if it was with Rob Walker. It was commissioned by Diecast Legends but it looks to be a Tecnomodel. As with the other Tecnomodels, the finish is really nice but the details aren’t quite up to say Exoto standards. I was curious how the open sides would look but they also turned out great.

I sort of forgot l’d preordered the TopSpeed Emira, so was surprised when it arrived today. I missed seeing the real one on its tour of the US so this was my first experience of it in 3D. I like it but really want to see it scaled up in 1:1. It’s a very nice model and displays great. It’s substantially heavier than the Tecnomodels it’s photoed with, which really makes it feel diecast rather than resin. The paint and details overall are excellent but I just wish these resin/composite cars had wheels that turned.

Love the Emira, and considering buying one in a few years. Nice looking model, too. I didn't know they were released and now I am going to start looking to add one.
