This model is currently available from the Danbury Mint. It is offered on a payment plan , interest free at about $100.00 a month for 5 months, plus shipping. It is indeed a beautiful model, on par with the fabulous Exoto XCU GT40 in my opinion, with photoetch body emblems, fantastic engine details, but the working top is the nicest feature . DM will also be using a varaition of this mold to produce a 'hot rod' version, with wide tires, blower, roll cage similar to their 1:24 scale versions, this will be released in 2005. sorry, no photos available yet. The model also includes a walnut display base with engraved '1957 Belair convertible. A clear display cover is optional at $65.00 made especially for this model.

1:12 scale is my preference after collecting most all other scales over the years. I now prefer a few 'masterpieces' of my favorite cars over a large collection of cars I generally liked.
