Just received Deutsche Post tracking from Modelissimo. Let the waiting game begins.. for me
somehow i have a feeling i won't see my order until 2021...
Took 20 days from Germany to reach Australia shore and I was pleasantly surprised by the speed considering the current situation. But it took almost another 2 weeks from Vic depot to get to WA and not sure if it helped I only got the tracking update that the parcel is on-route to me right after I sent a late delivery enquiry to Auspost
In total the delivery took about 34 days.

I had an e-mail from Modelissimo that (for them at least) parcels have to be 60x60x60cm size or less.
Of course since no online store shows model sizes including boxes, a lottery when buying.
Naturally since most 1/18th scale boxes fit into around three sizes, I can probably guess!
Of course, there are exceptions - my IXO Ford Transit box is huge by comparison....

DPD have suspended shipments involving the UK.
I can't use the tracking option on their website.
This is because of the amount of red tape introduced by Brexit.
I warned Ottomobile that this was going to happen unless steps were taken to use shipping which bypassed the UK 'landbridge'.
GRRRRRRR!!!!!!!

That is a major bummer, Slarti!
I've got the Shmee150 Merc SLS AMG Black Series model en route from Minichamps in Germany with DHL - let's see how that fares getting into the UK and through customs. They already refunded me the VAT portion before shipping it out....

I also have a DHL/Post shipment on the way, ordered before Christmas!
DHL had also suspended shipments over the period before (apparently) resuming this last Monday.
I fully understand delays as a result of covid19, since this is no ones fault......

I've not had the tracking on my December OttO Mobile models (I ordered the Toyota Celica ST 205 rally car, so shipping was delayed) They said they'd ship from the 28th December, then they announced on their website on the 5th January that they'd started shipping them to the delivery company on the 31st December.
On the order it says shipped.

Like you my order contained the ST205, and so was delayed in the same way.
And like you - no tracking number.
Although as I mentioned above, it would seem shipping companies have suspended the facility.

My order from Otto using DPD arrived this morning.
I don't know if this travelled via the 'land bridge' or using the new Dunkirk to Rosslare ferry - set up to offer this option.
I'm going to assume a witches brew of combined problems (Christmas, Covid19 and new border rules) caused around an extra week for delivery.
Looking on the DPD website makes the issue as clear as mud!
What was interesting however was to discover they are a French company.

I ordered and paid for the Ferrari 126C2B (Arnoux) from Top Marques back in Dec 2019 and although model was readily available from mid 2020 I still haven't received the model. I have contacted them more times than I care to remember and they've stopped replying to my mails. I've had all sorts of promises of its shipped from China, Its expected in Europe, You should get it in........ This is my favourite F1 car of all time from my favourite period so am extremely cross with Top Marques. I have the Villeneuve 126C2 ( lovely model but front wing not aligned correctly), and the Alesi Ferrari 643 ( great model and perfect quality ) but my recent experience has put me off dealing with Top Marques directly. Maybe buying from CarModel etc may be more reliable. If anyone has similar experience could they let me know how they got the issue resolved. Thanks, Colin

I ordered two of the recent Minichamps BMW 635 group A race models from Kleiner Klassiker.
One was correct, the other was the wrong model (but still a 635)!
This is a new one for me, and I can't really decide if it's a legitimate 'delay'.
I have sent the wrong one back, KK have said they will refund the postage and send me the correct one.
Life does sometimes seem to be determined to get on your wick.....

Dear racing fan and collector,

There is a Happy End for SPARK at last after all the recent trouble with
the German customs! After weeks of delay and the re-labelling of more
than 10,000 models the German customs have finally released the long
awaited shipments.

All the 1/43rd scale models with e.g. the 2022 Red Bull of Max Verstappen
and numerous Le Mans Ferrari 488 GTE of Looksmart are on the way to
us so that we can finally start shipping your parcels at the end of the week.

The missing 1/18th scale models will follow early next week and we hope
to clear this jam of parcels within a few days as well. By that time the next
SPARK news shipment will have reached Germany and we are sure that
the new packaging will be compliant to EU regulations then...

Our whole team would like to thank you for your patience in this really
nerve-wracking situation!

This is an unusual cause of a delay.
I have a decal project I want to start now that it's at the top of my 'to do' list.
When the decals arrived I took the model out of storage and set it aside.
Now I can't find it, and am at a total loss as to where I left it!
DUHHHHHHH........

When this happens to me, it is in the last place I put it, and also the last place I look for it.

Good Luck!

In my case it turned out to be the place it had originally been stored.
I thought I had taken it from that location, but hadn't.
In the end I went back to the shelves and there it was, waiting (and grinning) for me to get it....
