I am really glad that we did not bid against each other, Daz!
The Thrust SSC was expensive anyway - specially when you add shipping and tax! 💰
But it is worth every penny!!

Can't wait to see pictures of your grail once it has come home...

The Auto Union is a neat add Darren! I think my one cost me about £30 still new in the box.

A 1/18 thrust SSC must me massive!!! I was looking the other day after Dirk got his 1/43 one, I saw that model was reported as being (I think) 42cm long.

Thanks Dirk, but the 1/43 is too small for me LOL. I wouldn't have put a bid on it.
Sometime into next year around August i should be picking them up from Mike, the 1/18 Thrust SSC and the 1/12 Bloodhound SSC are beyond Holy from him. He's had made a custom Perspex case for the 1/12 Bloodhound and is going to make a wooden case to fit the 1/12 Bloodhound and case into but it is a total one off to keep it safe and secure. The 1/18 Thrust SSC comes with a case so that is already protected. I keep saying it but i love these type of cars.

Thanks Craig, i think i paid about double that including shipping, a nice looking model.
When i get the 1/18 Thrust SSC i will get the tape out and measure it along with many close up photos.

Bought this at the end of last week as i have had one of these before and loved it so much i bought one back. It's the Brilliant looking CMC 1/18 1960 Ferrari 250 California in Black M-094. A miniature work of Art, you can see why the prices of these have shot up.

Congrats to this gem, Daz!!
Gloss black suits the 250 California sooo well!!

Had the red one for many years but somehow I never fell in love with the model.
At least I sold it some weeks ago for a great price.;-)

==> Maybe I should have been going for the black one instead...?

Thanks Dirk, on the rare occasions i see classic Ferraris in colours other than Red, the Black with the Red seats/ interior make this colour combination pop and this is about as good as it gets for the 250 California. I do have a soft spot for the blue version though, a model i would also like to get at some point.
