It's not listed as an Authentics at Kevin's list. Besides, did it come in a styrofoam box? All Authentics come with an inner styrofoam box.<{POST_SNAPBACK}>[/post]
I'm not concerned with what Kevin's site has listed - wrong resource to quote to me.<{POST_SNAPBACK}>[/post]
Is there a version of the Monte Carlo that comes in a styrofoam box? I bought a silver ERTL Monte Carlo (which is marked "Authentics" on it's base) in Exoticar in NYC last week and I wondered if it was a proper Authentic as it has dog leg hinges on the doors and the hood? :feedback<{POST_SNAPBACK}>[/post]
My one came in a windowed box, but I'd be curious to know if there are other versions of the Monte Carlo by ERTL. :cheers<{POST_SNAPBACK}>[/post]
I thought so too. With Ertl not really having a standard on what each series is, it's hit or miss.<{POST_SNAPBACK}>[/post]
I thought so as well, but I was surprised that it had dog leg hood and door hinges, as realistic hinges seem to me to be an "Authentics" feature. :confused<{POST_SNAPBACK}>[/post]
That is interesting! My one unfortunately has old fashioned dog leg hood hinges on it! So it must be a "de-contented" version of the same mould. Also I don't think the roof panels are removable on mine and there aren't any neat bags to put them in!<{POST_SNAPBACK}>[/post]
