Here's a "bonus car" Darrick so generously gave to me along with the F50 and NSX plus two bikes. It's surprisingly heavy and has a nice substantial feel to it. It's a very very nice car. Here are a few pics. I used the Ronan-style blue background. As the car has a very deep burgundy colour, most of my backgrounds just didn't suit the paint colour.

Thanks again Darrick. I'm sorry my pictures aren't quite doing this car justice. It really looks much better in real life than this as you know.

The lighting and background has to be set up quite differently from lighter/brighter coloured cars/bikes. Back to the "drawing board" as they say.

BTW, I've tried taking pics with reg (non-reflective) background and they never come out right... :confused

I dunno how Doc Ronan does it. He must have made a deal with the Devil... :giggle

I stink at taking pictures of certain colour cars. I'm lousy with blues and blacks. I'm starting to think I need some different form of lighting other than my halogens floor lamps. :confused

Ronan does shoot awesome pics of cars regardless of colour. :nicejob :nicejob

Bothered by the so-so pictures I took earlier, I took some slightly better ones with different backgrounds. Interetsingly, in my photos against the black background, the metallic paint on the nose of the car looks a little 'blotchy'. :confused :confused I wonder if I had too much light?
