Twice in the last couple months Exoticar has billed my credit card for models which were on backorder and were never shipped. This is bad enough but I had to make numerous calls to them to get eveything streightend-out and each time I got a run-around. :pullhair :pullhair Finally, last week they credited my card for $265 for the incorrect charges.

Exoticar was my favorite supplier for a long time but it will be a long time before I go back!

Sorry to hear.

I was tempted to do business with them, but luckily, my friends here have informed me regarding the way they do business.

I also had bad expierence after bad expiereance but use their catolouge as a shopping list. Once they double sent me models that were back orderred and told basically it was o.k because all of the paperwork would have been crazy. I told them as long as I am not double billed I was fine with that :confused When I ordered a jacket athey sent me the wrong size I actually decided to go on a diet and lose the weight to fit into the jacket as it would take them longer to get back to me. I actually lost 75 pounds just to fit in it. In closing their customer service sucks.

Your not alone in having problems with Exoticar. I ordered, (or supposidly ordered) the Tommi Makinen Edition Evo VI, as they showed one on their site. They charged my card, and shipped me the WRONG CAR!! :pullhair. They sent me the new EVO VIII, which I already had. I sent it back to them for an exchange, and for 2 weeks, I was waiting for the car to arrive. Nothing, so I call them. They refund me and reorder it. A week later NOTHING AGAIN. I call again, and they tell me the car is not available, as they never updated their computers. I look on my most recent statement, NO REUND FROM EXOTICAR!! :pullhair . I am going to look on this months statement, to make sure it didn't go on this one. If it didn't, I'l give them a call. I love their catalogs, as their great to look through, but their customer service is horrendous!!! Just be aware if you order from them.

Exoticar needs to learn customer service from the guys at MTR/please support DX Advertisers!. These fellas are fantastic. Always 100% happy with every order from them.

I threatened to file a consumer fraud complaint with the Massachusetts Attorney General and even downloaded the complaint forms from the State's web site. You might want to do the same as,in my opinion, their actions ARE fraudulent.

I have heard this is quite common with Exoticar. The first thing I would do is call your credit card company, they will deal with Exoticar directly and credit the money back to you. Keep in mind they probably have more power than you trying to call or e-mail them. Of course, once you have done that, I don't think they will want your business again.

Thanks for all the feedback ( or sympathy?) guys. During this same period, I also ordered a red model for $60 and they shipped a blue model. I realy think it's too bad because I delt with them alot in the last 1 !/2 years ( to the tune of $1500+ ) and never had the least problem! Although they are notorious for selling cars on backorder, it seems to me that they have gotten particularly bad in just the last few months. They closed their L.A. store in April and their catalogue has shrunk. Previous posts have noted that their customer service computers are not updated with their inventory. I believe this is true (!!!) as the people I delt with in CS were great, they just couldn't deliver on their promises because the company didn't give them correct information! :pullhair

I really hope exoticar is on the way out- they were my very first internet purchase years ago and a complete NIGHTMARE. Damaged item (as it was USED) refused to return, etc., etc. I'll NEVER deal with them again and with as many horror stories that are out there, always tell people to be cautious when dealing with them.
