Hello everyone,
You may remember a while back I mentioned that I stupidly displayed my Sauber on a wood surface, leaving pretty ugly marks on the tires. Exoto told me to use some rubbing alcohol on them which removed some of the marking. However, I was still very upset about my foolishness and decided to see if I could get replacement tires. Initially I was told that such spare parts were unavailable, but eventually I spoke with the man in charge of parts (why didn't thay let me talk to him to begin with?). He told me that I could only have two tires - I guess they only had one Sauber available for parts - and that he didn't want to part with all four. I figured I could take two now and maybe get the other two down the road. After making a few calls to remind them to ship them to me - and still being under the impression I was getting two tires - yesterday a small box came in the mail with ALL FOUR TIRES with the WHEELS included and the little contraption to get them on. I was so happy to have all four. My plan is to leave the damaged wheels on and keep the good set as spares. That way I will feel more comfortable displaying the Sauber and if the wheels get dusty or further marked, I won't care. By the way, they sent them to me wrapped in a styrofoam-like material. Should I leave them wrapped this way? How should I store them?
