Hello everyone! I am thinking of purchasing an Exoto Sauber Mercedes C9 Gift Set. If anyone has any information it would be greatly appreciated!
I have gotten the green light from my wife. It will most likely be the last die cast purchase for a very, very long time and i want it to be a great one.

If anyone has any other suggestion, that would be great!!

Thank you all in advance!

Thanks everyone, i should have been more specific. This is such a big purchase that i will use all of my die cast funds for a long time.
My questions are the following,

Is it worth it?
How much did it cost you?
Would you have any photos?
How would you rate it in your collection (scale 1-10)
Is there another car you would consider if you were to purchase just one for a long time?

Thank you all again!!

That's better...
Is it worth it?
Depends - worth is a very subjective thing. The only way to get the LM winner is by buying the box set. Do you have to have the LM winner? What about the rolling chassis that comes with it? Do you really want/need that. Personally I'd rather have an Autoart.

How much did it cost you?
Don't have it so I don't know. I do know these were $300 not so long ago. At the $400 mark they are now, Exoto can keep them. No matter what Felix tells you they're not worth that. :lol I paid $140 for my Michelin version last year. At the very least wait for a coupon offer or try ebay. $400 is TOO MUCH!

Pics Doc Ronan can help you with.

How would you rate it in your collection (scale 1-10)
My Sauber is a solid 9.5

If you are into "classics" and don't have one consider a Mercedes Benz W196 from CMC. For more modern interest consider a SLR. You can get both and have pizza and beer money left over.

Definitely yes.
- I love highly detailed cars.
- I love C9, it's one of my favourite LeMans car.
- Actually i love LeMans car.
- The detail is just amazing. With all the body panels removed, you see even more detail. Good to see clearly where the $$$ went.
- It's quite an unusual set.

How much did it cost you?
Around 230€ including shipping, mint in box.

Would you have any photos?
You might check some pix at my "latest arrivals" topic. It doesn't show much of it, but i can do more pictures if needed. But for now i cannot remove them from the box, i have no display boxes at the moment.

How would you rate it in your collection (scale 1-10)
Knowing that the next high end models i have is another C9 Exoto and A 935 Exoto, i would say 10/10.

Is there another car you would consider if you were to purchase just one for a long time?
I would go for the GT40 1-2-3 set :giggle

Thank you all for your help! The price at Exoto.com is $389.00 plus $36.00 for shipping.
I live in Canada and as soon as customs is done it would most likely add between $40.00 to $90.00 dollars
The total would be about $500.00 U.S. and over $600.00 Canadian.
There is only one available on e-bay for about the same price.
If anyone would know where to find one at a better price, please let me know!

Thanks again everyone!!!

Thanks RichardM!

I did not realize that this shop is in Canada. I have sent e-mail. Hopefully he has one.
You are all right about the CMC Streamliner. I got that one a few months ago. It is a marvel of a car!!

Thanks again :cheers

Unfortunatly just got an e-mail from Irene and they will not be getting them any longer.

I do not know how true this is but i heard that most dealers are upset with Exoto because they will not give them their really good product.
They wish to do it via there web site.

They will limit the product available to the dealers.

Maybe that is what is up here!

Well the search continues..............
