You might think this sounds funny coming from me, but I really got excited with this photo I just took of the Jag. It was taken with natural sunlight which lit up the car evenly. I had found it hard to bring out the green colour nicely with halogen lighting for some reason. I have been staring at my only copy of the Australian diecast magazine (1:18 Diecast Downunder) and using their photos as inspiration.

Thanks Nadav & toddfx. My tires were actually a bit dirty so I had to clean the dirt off them. Maybe it's the dirt remnants that gave the tires a realistic look. :giggle :giggle

Felix , how the heck do you get your pics looking so good :confused

The only way I could get mine so perfect would be to get them done by a professional photographer :giggle

By the way , talking of Red Bull cars , did anyone see the Monaco qualifying today ?
That special Star Wars livery they were running was stunning .The barge boards had "powered by the force" written on them . Cosworth obviously didnt mind :giggle I really hope someone produces that version in 1/18 .

I believe Ive seen everything now after watching Chewbacca cheering for DC this morning in Monaco :lol

I missed the F1 qualifying session. Bummer! I see Kimi & his car are in good shape. It should be a good fight tomorrow.

As for the photos, I don't really know how to explain it. I guess it's one of those things where you'd have to look over my shoulder to see what I'm doing. Uh....I can say sunlight as a light source is good. :lol :lol Honestly, so much of it is trial and error. A lot depends on the individual car and type of paint too I think. If there's one colour I haven't mastered yet, it's red ones.
