I recently bought this 1:43 Renault 4 Pickup, modified by a French model maker, Daniel Lardon, to be a French Poultry Farmer's pickup, complete with cages full of ducks, geese and chickens. I teamed it with a 1:32 three-wheeled Piaggio Ape model by Hachette, to create this farmyard scene. French readers might recognise the actor on the right, Yves Montand, while American readers might recognise the Piaggio driver, who is more used to driving getaway cars than farmer's three-wheelers.

If there is one criticism though, the crates just look too shiny and new....perhaps they need 'weathering'.

What did you make them from??

The crates are made by a French guy, Daniel Lardon, who modifies all sorts of vehicles to turn them into dioramas. This is the third model made by him which I own (the other two are a fruit and vegetable seller's van and a Peugeot J7 'Friterie' van, which sells hot chips - you can see them in the earlier thread here called Feeding the Masses. It's here.
