Ferrari F40 1/18 yellow Kyosho original series

Hi guys, there are some pics of one of the best Kyosho models ever made, the iconic Ferrari F40, made in red (also lightweight)and yellow(only lightweight)
Even if it doesn’t belong to the Kyosho hi-end line like the red version or lightweight versions, this model is an excellent replica of the real car and has interesting details as functional realistic suspensions and sliding seats!
I recommend it for every supercar lover!

Great stuff! The model itself has been around for a long while now even the Hi-end version is at least 10+ years old but it is still the best representation of the full opening F40 in 1/18 scale, despite some criticism on the accuracy of the front end.

Great post 👏 I love this model, it's the F40 that I've always kept, the pop-up headlights and details, and the yellow is much less susceptible to paint rash.

Hi Mike K,
Thank you very much.
I agree yellow is the best colour to avoid paint rash and details are unbelievable.

Same here. I have the exact same F40 in yellow while i cant comment on the likelihood of paint rashes on yellow Kyosho.. but i always thought yellow cars can have mismatched paint on panels easily.

Hi jazzy426,
Thank you very much.
I agree front end’s shape is a bit off but surely it is the best F40 model you can have if you want openings and interior details after hi-end version(that unfortunately it is not available in yellow)
Hi jazzy426,
This panel paint mismatchment never happened in yellow models paradoxally,
but happened in some red models like the 430 Scuderia by HWE.

Absolutely.. despite the front being slightly off but i still think this is the best diecast body F40 out there. I would like a red one as well, hi-end or not... but they are so expensive and auctions assuming you find one consistently end at above $600 to $800.
The yellow one looks great. I have the original release in red and it still looks fantastic, but the rash is pretty bad and is on most panels including around the air ducts where you can't do anything about it. You don't notice it when looking at it in the cabinet though.

Hi samx5,
I’m sorry for you that you have paint rash on the red version.
A lot of kyosho Ferraris unfortunately have this problem, but enjoy your still beautiful looking red F40!

Kyosho is re-releasing the F40's, so just wait it out ;)
