Congrats. I guess it must be worth the wait. Looks great in white. I've always had an eye on the 959. One of the Porsches that I like.

You mean the maroonish colour? I happen to come across pics of the real car and they are exactly in that colour. Yucks.

 

I have the same one ,in the same color. Nice pics ,a great (old) model ,that I've searched for like 7-8 months to find it at a good price.

About that interior ,it's not that bad ,I'm not a fan of the color combo ,but it's not ugly either. Here's a pic of the real thing:

its funny by looking at the exoto it looks like leather seats.. but the 1:1 is fabric... does anyone know if leather was an oprtion because I believe exoto could have taken one step further by putting cloth seats in their model

 

It's a 10 year old diecast ,so fabric on the seats was a little bit too much those days, and since this is a motorbox ed. not a pure exoto, it's self explanatory.
And yes ,the 959 had leather seats as an option.

L.E.: umm ,carbonsigma ,where does the 997's interior look just like this?

I mean they have distinctive features and small similarities but...I'll say you just where ironical.

 

I think the 959 looks so much like the 993. It really seems like a 993 with a wide rear body and fatter front fenders. Although I guess the 993 took styling cues from the 959- and basically all Porsches in the same generation look the same.

 

I do know that the 993 Turbo is based heavily off the 959, they give off the same vibe. I love the 959, and this Exoto is pretty much perfect. Mine is blue but this white one looks great too.

Kostas, it sounds like your dad had a really good job.

 

Beautiful model, man. The photography is stunning, and obviously so is the car. Great subject to shoot!

 

in my opinion 959 is still the most breath taking Porsche today. I used to have all Motorbox/Exoto variations/colors and sold them all (I had doubles of the Silver and the white ones) and I sure hope Autoart's comes out with A LOT more details than this Exoto called Revell model.

Exoto and I assume Porsche produced some weird colours for the 959. I had one in Palisander (metalic brown) and decided it wasn't for me so I sold it and bought a black one. I'm not sure what the interior colour is cause its still in its box.

 

I'd have 1 of these any day over even the Carrera GT.Another car I need to add to my collection
