It is the 1st gen Challenger ... Hellcats weren't available with the 1st gen rear panel ...

Since Acme is now Greenlight, sadly, I doubts they will make a new mold only for the 2nd gen tail lights .... Greelight prefer to buy old molds from everybody and re-released models over and over, that already been made in the past ... and just offer new presentation

... if they were planning to make a Hellcat, it would have been done instead of reusing the 1st gen mold to relaunch the Challenger

Hi Jeff,

This comment about Acme isn't entirely true. Acme is its own company still based in Winder, Georgia. GreenLight purchased and owns the GMP mold assets. We work with the Acme team, many of whom were on the original GMP team, to bring new GMP models to the market. But we do not own Acme in any way. We are two completely separate companies. I just wanted to clarify this as there is still some confusion in the market.

Thanks,

Matt

I don't know if it's the right topic, but what's that black Challenger in the background?

An accurate Penske Sunoco TransAm racer based on this Camaro please. Unlike the pseudo 'race' Mustangs, this has a fully stripped interior and roll cage. Now it needs a set of 1960's Minilites and some accurate tyres and you've got another customer!

So Greenlight doesn't owns GMP ... but they own their molds .... isn't it a bit the same at the end ?

I mean if GL owns their molds, GMP is not very independent anymore

Hi Jeff,

Not entirely. GMP is a brand and the former company is now extinct. Acme is a company that is still functioning with their own projects separate from the GMP brand. Confusing I know!

Thanks,

Matt
