Imagine being a small child at the time they came out, you'd be the envy of the street! Maybe even your school! All would go well till the local bully (who had usually eaten too many sweets every day) would push you out of it to have a go and probably break it!
They are so damn cool! I've seen a few on TV shows and always like them.

My Dad said I literally rode the tire down to the rims on mine.
Growing up, I had 5 boy cousins. A couple were quite a bit older but there was 4 of s pretty close in age. My Grandfather had bought 4 pedal cars resembling the blue one shown above. Us kids made a "race track' around his basement, the "infield" was the old coal furnace in the center of it. We had hours of fun racing each other around our track, smashing the shit out of each other.
