Does anyone know how to remove the targa top on AUTOart's Diablo Roadster? It's always fixed on the engine cover, and I'm wondering how it can be removed and placed into the holes behind the seats to form the roof.

Be careful! I found out the hard way that the early releases of these models actually DIDN'T let you put the top "up or down" like they were supposed to. The roof was actually Fixed to the engine cover. If it doesn't come up with a little prying I'd leave it.

That's a shame they didn't make it removable :ranting :confused
I have the older yellow Diablo Roadster and the roof piece was glued to the engine cover. It took awhile but I was able to remove it without damaging the roof piece. However, the engine cover is a different story. When I tried to remove the remaining pieces of glue, paint came off the engine lid. So I have 4 little paint chip that I have yet to fix.

Now, a friend of mine just picked up the black Diablo Roadster and the roof piece was not glued to the car. I wish AUTOart would of thought of this earlier.
You really can't see the paint chips from this angle, but trust me, they're there. :cheers
nothing a little touch up paint won't fix ! nice car dude, nice work ! :cheers :bowdown

When I got my Red Diablo I was right pissed that the top was glued down. I too, popped it off with a little pressure. I tried a dab of thinner but all it did was mark up the plastic roof - I had to repaint the black "sills" on the roof. I also sanded down the flat part the roof was glue to and repainted it. Looks ok - like Erics, only red.
